Unbelievably delicious, creative cuisine - there's a dearth of good restaurants in this area but this one restores my faith every time I go. Wonderful people, will continue to support them as much I can.

Sitting in stunning Devon countryside, The Normandy Arms Blackawton is a cosy gastropub serving rich, British food. The pub boasts a rustic bar with a fire, stone-walled dining rooms, and a beer garden with panoramic views.

With a menu that evolves throughout the year, the rich supply of local Devon produce features heavily. Start with the tempting duck liver parfait with celeriac remoulade and homemade brioche, or the equally tantalising beetroot and orange salad with toasted walnuts and grilled goats’ cheese. Mouth-watering main courses include slow-roasted pork belly with baked apple, spiced red cabbage and truffled pork cheek, and pan-fried plaice fillet with seared scallops, pea purée, fondant potato and broad beans.

The bar also serves classic cocktails and offers an extensive choice of world wines. The Normandy Arms near Totnes is rustic and inviting, with elegant, modern touches added to the traditional village pub.

Amidst rolling hills and just 4 miles from the coast, The Normandy Arms in Devon is a 15-minute drive from the popular town of Dartmouth.

Great food but sadly service not fantastic, a little more customer service ie meet & greet would have improved our overall experience, a lack of training came through as being an obvious omission to their employment.
