Attentive and friendly staff with a great atmosphere. Trendy setting with great rock n roll music playing in the background. Food was top class and we all had a brilliant night.

Named Hotel of the Year in the London Lifestyle Awards in 2010, 2011 & 2012, No.20 Restaurant @ Sanctum Soho Hotel showcases high-end British cuisine. A glossy lacquered bar, swathes of bronze leather and glass-clad pillars offer timeless vintage glamour.

Changing with the seasons, the Sanctum menu offers a seamless selection of seasonally-changing recipes from head chef, Matthew Dunn. For dessert, enjoy Pimm's jelly with orange & apples, served with a strawberry, cucumber & mint salsa, or homemade profiteroles with vanilla crème patisserie & warm chocolate sauce.

Perfectly matched to the menu, the No. 20 restaurant wine list offers a top-end selection of international bottles. Trendy cocktail mixes are also served from the Sanctum London bar, and guests can enjoy an edgy take on afternoon tea.

Interesting venue-heavy metal theme with various scull features throughout-Warm welcome on arrival and pleasant service-It was Friday lunchtime and not very busy-The special offer of three courses and a cocktail was excellent value for money-The food was delicious and would have cost a lot more in other restaurants that we frequent-Loved all items on the set menu.

Vey good food, but service although good was a little quick and did not leave us time to rest between courses. Wine reasonably priced but could be a larger choice.

We went to the Sanctum Hotel for the 'Gent's Tea' as part of my fiancé's birthday celebration. We took a 5pm booking which was late for tea but allowed us to do some shopping in town beforehand - this could be to blame for the lack of atmosphere we felt in the bar area. However regardless of time, the service wasn't very attentive. The way the gent's tea is served is in courses, and my fiancé had to wait for ages and ask/continually remind to servers to bring his next course. We were the only ones in there and it was impossible to even find a server when we needed one.

The gents tea finishes with a cigar on the rooftop patio, and I had called two days leading up to the reservation to ask for an upgraded cohiba to be set aside as it is my fiancé's favourite. I was told I could not reserve this, but it would be fine as they always had cohiba's to hand and not to worry. Sure enough they did not have any cohiba's so unfortunately we were not able to upgrade our tea as offered on the menu. Nonetheless they did had the regular, smaller cigar for him to enjoy on the rooftop patio, however they had some kind of rock party going on the roof and we could not fit outside onto the rooftop, nor would we have wanted to. The music was so loud we could feel it, and we're not old cranks either we both like our music but this was extreme. There would be no way to enjoy a cigar over some conversation in that atmosphere. We should've been told that this was going on as it impacted one of the highlights of the tea and left us having to take our cigar for the road - not a great finish.

All in all a really disappointing experience, poor service and a real let down. Would not recommend.

We were disappointed. Very limited menu choices and even at £25 and a cocktail felt it was very over priced for what it was, we have used Bookatable a few times and have always been impressed but not this time . The restaurant is trendy looks like an American diner and there was good music playing. The service and staff were good but it was nearly empty I guess a because of the price/ poor value for money . The food was good but really much too expensive

The Bookatable menu was good value. The food was good, the service fine and excellent location. Quirky would be a good word to describe the decor. Agree with previous comment that these Bookatable deals can take you "off piste". The complimentary champagne cocktail was very sweet!
