Named Hotel of the Year in the London Lifestyle Awards in 2010, 2011 & 2012, No.20 Restaurant @ Sanctum Soho Hotel showcases high-end British cuisine. A glossy lacquered bar, swathes of bronze leather and glass-clad pillars offer timeless vintage glamour.

Changing with the seasons, the Sanctum menu offers a seamless selection of seasonally-changing recipes from head chef, Matthew Dunn. Enjoy simple British staples finished with a refined twist, like 24-hour slow-cooked rock & roll barbecue beef ribs with sweet chilli coleslaw, or pan-fried whole Dover sole, capers, lemon & parsley brown butter sauce. For dessert, enjoy Pimm's jelly with orange & apples, served with a strawberry, cucumber & mint salsa, or homemade profiteroles with vanilla crème patisserie & warm chocolate sauce.

Perfectly matched to the menu, the No. 20 restaurant wine list offers a top-end selection of international bottles. Trendy cocktail mixes are also served from the Sanctum London bar, and guests can enjoy an edgy take on afternoon tea.

Set in a beautifully converted pair of townhouses, the Sanctum Soho dining room showcases interior design from the expert eye of Lesley Purcell. Oxford Circus and Piccadilly Circus Tube stations are 8 minutes' walk away.

The gent's afternoon tea was brilliant, a great culinary experience. I would recommend it to all of my friends. The cigar and whiskey was throughly enjoyed on the beautiful rooftop terrace.

Overall the restaurant lacked atmosphere and the food was average. The starters were wrong for 2 diners from a table of 5 and the mains didn't taste fresh or worth the money. Wouldn't return. They also ran out of prosecco after we had had one bottle!

venue was not ready to welcome us. team meeting still going on and didn't look like they got our booking as no allocated table and delayed service. however the food was good and the waitresses were good even though both looked liked they are new to the job.

This was my second visit and went with my date for lunch this time. The restaurant was quiet and we had the circular table and semi-cirular sofa to ourself which provided privacy. We ordered the £22 courses & a cocktail deal. The quality of the food were very good, the waitresses were friendly and polite. To our surprise, it event came with a glass of whiskey and a cigar at the end, all complimentary. The final bill was only £49.50. It was absolutely value for money.

We were there for afternoon tea. The food was good on the gentlemens menu not so much on the ladies. Best out of four upper end afternoon tea experiences in London this weekend.
The ambiance was nothing to write home about, as they where preparing for a Christmas party.
Probably a fun place to go with a group.

Too dark to eat at lunchtime.
Food was good, service not as good as I would expect.

The food was fab, atmosphere very vibrant. Service was a bit slow at times. But they definitely redeemed themselves with complimentary drinks. We would go back.

From the moment we 6 walked in we were made to feel welcome. The staff and food were wonderful and it was a brilliant finish to a brilliant day. Would definitely return and recommend. Nice central location with lots around to visit too.

Visited hotel with 4 friends, staff were really accommodating when we asked to push back time to eat by 1 hour as a friend delayed. The bar area was buzzing and we were welcomed to stay in there until we were ready to eat.
The food was delicious and our whole group enjoyed our selections!
The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was really relaxed and was a cool vibe!
Thoroughly recommend visiting the roof terrace after dinner which was again a cool vibe and great finish to a lovely extended lunch.
