My fourth time eating here. As usual it was a great experience. Sitting at the chefs table gives you a great insight into this place. No waste, very innovative and always very tasty! All the staff very friendly and enjoy the interaction with the customer. Will definitely be back.

Praised by top critics including Jay Rayner and Grace Dent, Native in Neal’s Yard pairs innovative cooking techniques with a passion for produce, creating a menu of flavour-rich, seasonal dishes. Served in charmingly laidback surrounds, dishes are packed with the country's best wild food that is native to the UK.

From a River Cottage-trained chef, the Native menu showcases natural, foraged and seasonal ingredients. Dishes evolve with the seasons, but starters may include the likes of wild rabbit and prune pastilla with pickled walnut salad, or smoked pollock croquettes with lovage mayo. For mains, discover dishes like venison rack with spiced cabbage and pommes boulangeres, or flame-grilled clams with ham hock broth and homemade sourdough.

Desserts at Native Covent Garden are no less inventive. Joining a classic English cheese board are twists on favourites, such as pain perdu with basil and lemon curd ice cream.

Tucked away in Neal’s Yard, Native restaurant in London is a 3-minute walk from Covent Garden Tube Station.

Wow sums up our dining experience at Native. A very innovative menu using all of the best British ingredients with every dish lovingly prepared and presented served by either a very friendly professional floor manager or if he is busy one of the young chefs who bring the food to you explaining the wonderful ingredients they have used to create the most marvelous dishes. And with a really interesting wine list with a good choice of wine by the glass Native is fantastic value for money - the 2 course option is only £28!

This is a top, albeit cosy, restaurant, which delivers at all levels. The food is superb. A set three course menu, with limited choices expertly prepared in a tiny kitchen using fabulous ingredients. Some wild game, some foraged herbs, and all fresh and seasonal. The chef has an assured touch, balancing flavours and textures perfectly. Oh, and the service is also excellent, friendly and informed. We'll be back!

Fantastic food. Service friendly. Only 2 tables for 2 upstairs (as well as some counter seats) - if you are claustrophobic you might want to request to sit there. Downstairs, where most of the tables are, may seem a bit cramped as there are no windows.

Food was really excellent, especially the boar ragu. interesting short menu where every option looked good. Wine selection was great too and every bottle by the glass. Miso butter cabbage one of the best sides I've ever had. Service was good, all staff friendly and welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu and wine. Will return and next time hopefully have space for dessert!
