Boasting a charcoal-fired clay oven and bhatti open fire grill, Myristica brings a vibrant slice of Indian dining to the centre of Bristol. Special themed monthly menus celebrate Indian festivals, regions, and seasonal specialities.
With Head Chef Bhaskar Pillai having cooked for the Indian and English cricket teams, the Myristica menu is full of inspired exotic dishes. Starters include Indian delicacies not widely found in other restaurants, such as rabbit tossed with onions, chillies, and spices. A range of kebabs include venison and organic black cod varieties, while an eclectic curry list includes guinea fowl stir-fry. Traditional favourites are always popular, ranging from vindaloo to prawn bhuna.
Myristica Bristol serves a great selection of vegetarian dishes, and the dessert list offers traditional Indian sweets like Shrikhand – a thick recipe of cream, milk, saffron, nutmeg, and crushed pistachios.
Also serving a varied wine list, Myristica restaurant is 4 minutes’ drive from Bristol Temple Meads Rail Station.

We dined 26th Zfeb 2011, at 7pm. Restaurant looked great on arrival and despite a reduction in numbers initial greet was excellent, once seated service for drinks and food order was poor, taking maybe 15 mins, but once ordered food superb and on-going service alas good. Recommend Party menu 1 as enjoyable. Final point initial research said restaurant on King St next to the old Vic, but it isn't location much better 5 mins down road. [...]
