Having passed by My Old Dutch for a while I finally managed to get there for dinner and I wasn't disappointed. Service was good, with a sense of humour, restaurant was modern (though I did expect to see more clogs hanging up on the walls, windmills and a tulip on our table) and pleasant. Food was fantastic, exactly the sort of traditional fare that you would expect in Amsterdam, lots of choice in both food (so much that I wanted everything!) and drink. Already planning my return visit.

Mothers day lunch- restaurant was busy but the service was too slow! 25 minutes before a drink arrived and for what was meant to be a simple pancake lunch took over 2 1/2 hours! Pancakes used to be much nicer- now just extremely stodgy.

2.30pm on a sunday. It didn't seem particularly busy, as we were seated straight away. It then took 15 mins before the menu was given to us and that was after I had to ask for it! We waited an hour for our pancakes to be served and then the pancakes didn't arrive at the same time. However on the plus side when we finally got our food , it was good. I wasn't keen on paying the service charge and although it said "optional service charge" on the bill, there was no option – we had to pay it! Overall the pancakes were good, shame about the poor service.

6pm on a wednesday evening. It wasn't particularly busy and the food came very quickly. Slightly irritating that the service charge was added to the bill and no option of removing it. Whilst there was nothing wrong with the service there was nothing special about it. When they weren't bringing us the food or drink they were sitting on the sofa in the corner.

Dined at around 1.30 pm. The food was good, great variety of savoury pancakes to choose from. Orders for some pancakes take a very long time to come, understandable, but when your in a group you prefer to receive all your food together.
