Named after the owner's grandmother, Muriel's Kitchen South Kensington is a tribute to all things British and traditional. With a quaint kitchen feel and full of homely comforts, diners are treated to a huge range of dishes.

Fresh, seasonal produce is used on the frequently changing menu at Muriel's Kitchen in South Kensington. For brunch there are full English and veggie breakfasts with organic eggs and Cumberland sausages, as well as fluffy pancakes. Family recipe fish pie and lasagne are popular traditional mains, while more contemporary sharing dishes like pulled pork BBQ sliders are also extremely popular.

Desserts at Muriel's Kitchen London include gluten-free recipes like chocolate Nutella cake and upside down raspberry pudding. Classic afternoon tea offers a huge choice of finger sandwiches and sweet treats, with a select wine list and some English ales also featuring on the drinks list.

Nice but pricey option near South Kensington station. Poor service. Nice food options.

This is a gem of a restaurant and we can't believe we never discovered it before. Friendly and welcoming service, warm atmosphere and great food. Our table of three all had the Festive menu, lovely selection of dishes we struggled to choose between, and when we got them they lived up to all expectations in being delicious. Easy walk afterwards up to the Royal Albert Hall. Will definitely be back.

Very friendly, busy 'buzz' to the place. Good food, fairly quick service and a great location. Prices reasonable for this part of London, and an interesting selection on the menu. The tables were rather close together, so you lost a certain amount of privacy. The stools at the bar (where I sat for 30 minutes with a very nice cup of tea, waiting for a friend) were VERY uncomfortable.

Roast asparagus starter excellent, goat's cheese & beetroot salad very tasty, chocolate lava pudding with vanilla ice cream excellent. Service relaxed and pleasant. A happy experience. My fellow diner thought his fish slightly undercooked but enjoyed starter and summer pudding.

Good food, however waiting staff inattentive and forgetful. We had to ask for the bill 3 times.

Unfortunately we didn't get to dine here as My youngest daughter has a nut allergy and the manager advised us not to eat due to possible nut cotamination. I was a bit confused by this as the menu states 'if any allergy concerns, please speak to staff' and I assumed provisions could be made. My daughter was really upset but it was better to be on the safer side. It seems like a nice little quaint place. I would prefer to visit again one day with friends (rather than with children) and do afternoon tea.

Lovely brunch with friends on a bank holiday Monday. Friendly service, good food and excellent coffee. Notably, a clean bathroom - says a lot! Restaurants often overlook those.
