A buzzy, family-run hideaway in the West End, Muriel’s Kitchen Soho serves time-honoured British recipes. Quaint homely styling includes squashy leather armchairs, ceiling-suspended plant pots and vintage kitchenware displays.

Taking its name from the proprietor’s grandmother, the Muriel’s Kitchen menu changes with the seasons, and showcases the best available produce. Signature breakfasts at Muriel’s in Soho span from blueberry pancakes, to omelettes and filled croissants. Sandwiches and superfood salads are served throughout the day, while family-recipe mains include chicken & peach curry & fish pie.

Served on a miniature picnic bench, afternoon tea at Muriel’s in London is filled with classic sweets and savouries, and cakes and puds can be enjoyed on their own for a post-lunch treat. Guests can choose from the cherry-picked wine list, coffee and soft drinks, as well as vitamin-loaded smoothies.

An all-day restaurant in Soho, Muriel’s Kitchen is found 5 minutes’ walk from Leicester Square Tube Station.

We arrived earlier than booked but the table was already ready for us, although we couldn't have the food till two, which is when we booked for. We could get started with the tea in the meantime which was great. Thank you for the great hospitality!

Staff were friendly, but due toEnglish not being their first language, some misunderstandings occurred. My friends weren't warned that an extra pot of tea was extra (usually refills are included in Afternoon Tea). The sandwich varieties were a bit limited, especially for the vegetarian in our party. The scone was also disappointing, but the cakes were very nice.

Went here for pre matinee brunch with my two daughters and sister. We all liked the decor and ambiance and were very impressed by the helpfu, friendly waiters. The menu is extensive with something to suit every palette. The prices were reasonable and service good.

Good priced afternoon tea and some things were very nice and the service was good. But the sandwiches were a bit dry

Went to Muriel's kitchen for birthday brunch and loved it! Great atmosphere with really good coffee too..the carrot cake was divine. Service was a tad slow as it was busy but it was worth the wait. Would definitely go back very soon.

We really enjoyed our Mothers Day brunch. We all had the full English breakfast which was very tasty. The sausages are delicious. Sometimes a full English can be a bit of a let down but I would recommend Muriels. My dad loved it and he's difficult to please restaurant wise!
