The sashimi was absolutely incredible. I ordered sashimi and sushi for dinner, and had a great experience. I loved sitting at the bar, and the ambience of the restaurant was great. Highly recommended.

A stunningly presented Japanese restaurant in Convent Garden, Murakami Restaurant blends izakaya-style dishes with unique interior design that represent the 5 elements of Japanese philosophy – fire, wind, water, metal and earth.

The Murakami Restaurant menu covers everything from classic sushi and sashimi favourites, to traditional izakaya sharing plates. Signature rolls feature prawn tempura, avocado, mango and spicy mango sauce, while special aburi rolls that are flame seared with Japanese charcoal combine tuna with caramelised onion salsa. From the Japanese robata grill there is Wagyu beef with truffle butter, and vegetarian recipes like grilled aubergine with saikyo miso.

There is a huge sake Japanese whisky and beer selection at Murakami Restaurant in Covent Garden, while unique cocktail creations use exciting flavours like roasted rosemary and yakitori sauce. Inside the restaurant, there are stunning design touches like a 12-metre wall filled with long grass, and numerous hanging art pieces.

With truly unique style and a versatile menu, Murakami Restaurant in London is a 2-minute walk from Leicester Square Tube Station.

I had a good experince at Murakami. The seaweed salad and tuna tartare were great! And the Softshell Crab roll was real good also. The service from our waiter was great. Really friendly staff and I just love the design.

We had a fantastic meal at Murakami. This restaurant is very popular and has lots of energy. It’s a vast space, noisy and very busy. Reservations are a must. Service was cordial, relaxed, and helpful. The wine was good. All was delicious and well presented.

The restaurant is casual yet elegant. The rest of the food was lovely. Started with seaweed salad - well-presented with gomae dressing and cherry tomato. Then I had the Aburi rolls. It was all excellent! Great atmosphere, a very nice meal.

Restaurant was quite cool and well done. As we were going to the theatre we asked if the food could come quickly which it did so that was good. Food looked amazing and generally was pretty good though the tempura prawns weren't cooked. But overall a good experience.

My service was perfect and the meal was well cooked. Especially the seafood. Best sushi in London and great for celebrity spotting. I never miss going there when i am in London. Very cool atmosphere.

I have to say that it was a true honor to be served at the Murakami. They have a fantastic and unique menue that trully reflects the Japanese coast culture and history. Wine lists are creative and extensive. My server was outstanding...personable and professional. I'll be back!

This is one excellent restaurant. The menu and wine lists are creative and extensive, as were the specials I enjoyed. Reception is warm, ambience is heart-warming, the food - both sushi bar and menu - is outstanding, the service is superior. Would I recommend the Murakami? You bet!!!
