A bright red bolthole nestling under London Bridge, Mug House is cute, characterful and brimming with hearty British food. In the last remaining arch of the original London Bridge, Mug House on Tooley Street complements its seasonal menu with an extensive hand-picked wine list and fine craft ales and beers.

Executive chef Sean Davies has redesigned the Mug House menu, bringing a rustic touch to British gastropub fare. Start with duck liver pâté on toasted sourdough, or Cornish crab cakes with dill mayonnaise.

Impressive mains of wild mushroom risotto with Portobello mushroom, or crispy duck confit with warm bacon dressing, share the menu with classics like fish and triple-cooked chips with tartare sauce, and Davy’s bangers and mash with Madeira gravy and homemade onion rings.

Delicious British puddings bring a fitting end to your Mug House meal. A cosy venue housing a cellar replete with the Davy’s selection of fine wines, Mug House in London is a 2-minute walk from London Bridge Train Station.

Perfect location for our trip to Borough Market , a short stroll away from the hustle and bustle . The staff were friendly and helpful and had reserved a quiet booth for us as I had requested a quiet space so that our group could chat . The food was lovely and reasonably priced and our group of 4 all said how perfect it was for our day out . Would definitely visit again , a hidden gem !

Pleasant pub, nice atmosphere, food ok, food a little overpriced for what you get but apart from that enjoyed the place.

Was quite impressed with standard of food, parsnip soup starter was to die for, opted for Christmas meal couldn't fault, shared plum crumble I'm not really a desert person but could have easily wolfed the whole lot best I have ever tasted. Staff were welcoming and promptly directed us to our table would definitely go back.
