Professional yet sweet team of staff.
We had the lamb rump steak and BBQ Butternut Squash Risotto, and the both were done to perfection. The pictures talks about the nice setting and decor.
We recommend this place.

Mr Cooper's offers a multitude of different dining settings under one roof, combining modern touches with the history and heritage of Mr Cooper himself, whose house and famous gardens sat on the site back in 1819. Trees, birdhouses and a gazebo decorate the striking dining room which, with a zesty-green and white colour scheme, ushers the outdoors in.

The restaurant serves daring elegant food, cooked with flair and imagination. Seasonal dishes include starters of pressed smoked Ham hock with crispy pig's cheek, egg and bacon, followed by Cumbrian lamb rump with scorched turnips, cracked wheat and lamb jus. For dessert caramel popcorn tart with roasted rye ice cream and soured cream perfectly compliments the season.

Delivering world class service, the award-winning bar is known for its use of avant-garde ingredients and techniques including drinks made using a Rotary Evaporator. Lounge in the lush garden, sip on a cocktail in the library, or cosy up in the study’s leather booths with a fabulous drinks list boasting a wide range of spirits, beers and juices. Mr Cooper's Bar has been shortlisted for Imbibe's 'Drinks List of the Year 2016' and also listed in Condé Nast Traveller 'The Gold Standard 2015'.

Listed in The Good Food Guide 2017, Mr Cooper’s House & Garden at the Midland Hotel in Manchester is a 7-minute walk from Manchester Oxford Road Rail Station.

Excellent meal and very attentive waiters. We were in the gazebo where there was insufficient light to read the menu. The staff tried to remedy this with a light ball on the table which needed to be changed and recharged 4 times! You must improve this lighting. It is the only dark area in the restaurant.

We had a very nice meal here. Slight issue with starters being brought whilst we were still eating our canapes/snacks and the waiter still wanted to put our starters on the table. Main waitress was very pleasant and constantly kept drinks topped up. Music was a little too loud resulting in diners talking loudly to each other so not the best location for a romantic meal for too.

Staff were excellent. We didn't like sitting on the high chairs we more move to a booth very efficiently. The menu was good but most of my praise goes to your happy helpful efficient staff

Valentines meal good value. Starters were delicious, main course was lovely as well (Cumbrian Fillet) but additional sides had to be ordered due to small plate size. Staff were very friendly, barman very accommodating when we asked for a cocktail that wasn't on the menu.

We were a little dissaspointed with our experience at this restaurant. We booked a table of 2 and were seated in an aclove in the corner of the resturant that felt small and claustraphobic. Our table was so small that they couldn't fit both our starters and drinks on it. We could not see much of the rest of the dining area from where we were. We were also sat next to the kitchen area and found the constant passing of waiters to be a little disturbing. The waiter was friendly. The food was good but the main course was brought to our table before we were even half way through our starters, which made it feel rushed despite only being at the table for 30 minutes at the time the mains arrived. The dessert options are limited.
