Set inside a converted boardroom and with a stunning glass-roofed atrium and champagne bar, Morgans Restaurant is a chic dining space inside Swansea's Morgan Hotel.

The Morgans Restaurant menu is packed with contemporary European recipes, and also showcases regional flavours. Favourites include rosemary-studded rump of Welsh lamb, seared salmon escalope with sarladaise potatoes, and vegetarian options such as pumpkin and leek risotto with arborio rice. A separate cafe bar menu offers light ciabattas, as well as tapas and sharing plates.

Desserts at Morgans Restaurant Swansea range from decadent flavours like Belgian dark chocolate and coconut tart with white chocolate sorbet, to fruity twists like mango and passionfruit Eton mess. From the wine and spirit list, there are chef's recommendations to pair with different dishes.

Morgans sits moments from Swansea's stunning maritime quarter, and only a 7-minute drive from Swansea Rail Station.

The food was excellent so was the service but we were disappointed to learn on arrival that the restaurant wasn't open so therefore had to eat in the lounge/bar.

We had a excellent meal, fillet steak was cooked just as asked... medium ... couldn't fault food ... it was a quiet night with just one another person in restaurant could have done with a bit of background music, I've marked value down only being price on drinks which we felt was over priced for what it was (wine) but that's just our opinion, the waitress was very pleasant overall we had a lovely evening and would come back thankyou

We booked our Valentine's night at Morgans because of the previous experiences (as a couple, and with all the family) we have had at your hotel/restaurant. Our overall experience was extremely satisfactory, and the evening was a memorable one for all the right reasons.
A few observations though for your consideration in future to make this an exceptional evening:
    1. On arrival at the bar, we informed the Morgans staff member of our arrival and booking time. He made us welcome and gave us his acknowledgement, and would come back to get us at the right time to take us to the dining room. He did not come back to us.
    2. The rose on the table was a lovely gesture. The thorns left on the stem were not.
    3. The champagne choice was excellent and perfectly chilled, and presented with an ice bucket. The omission of a waiter's cloth to soak up the condensation for our self-pouring was short sighted.
    4. We weren't served the introductory bread basket, we had to ask. When it was served, the waitress gave us the bread without offering a choice. We had to ask what was in the basket. The waitress remained pleasant and courteous throughout. A lack of training, I suspect.

Slightly disappointed with the dining area we ate in.There were only two tables being served and no background music.,the whole room lacked atmosphere. We had a problem with the service of the wine but this has been resolved satisfactorily by the Manager. The food was very good without being plentiful.,, but I think this is what fine dining is all about. The breakfast, served in the restaurant., was exceptional, probably the best hotel breakfast I've had for a long time. The food was served piping hot and was plentiful to the extent that I didn't eat lunch until about 3pm.Also there were more people present and there was background music playing which added to the ambience. The staff were very courteous and obliging.
