From start to end the staff were incredible! They were all extremely friendly and helpful and made our visit incredibly enjoyable. The Pimms afternoon tea was lovely and came on a pretty little shelf/stand. It was a lovely experience - I couldn't recommend it more highly.

We had a Groupon voucher for 2 people to use the leisure club followed by Afternoon Tea with prosecco. Due to unforeseen circumstances, our 12 year old daughter joined my husband and I too. We were asked to pay an additional £12.50 for the 3rd person for Afternoon Tea or to choose something off the menu - she chose Afternoon Tea like us. We were offered hot drinks from Costa (included in price), so we had 2 pots of tea and a hot chocolate, which came with flakes and extra marshmallows! The glasses of prosecco had a berry in each and were pleasant. The cakes and sandwiches were brought to the table on damaged and chipped wooden shelf structures with carry handles, which looked unattractive. The 12 finger sandwiches had a variety of fillings: smoked salmon/cream cheese, egg, ham, cucumber/cream cheese but the bread was dry and the fillings measly. The cakes were: 3 fruit scones with pots of jam and bowls of clotted cream, 2 carrot cake, chocolate brownie (1), lemon cake (2), and an unidentifiable cheesecake? with a blob of jam on top. The service was pleasant, friendly, and efficient. Factor in the £15 charge for 3 hour 5 mins parking, even with the £30 voucher and extra £5 for our daughter to swim and £12.50 for her to eat, we did NOT feel this was good value for money.

Sandwiches and cakes stale. Big let down. £10 for parking, what a waste. I booked this to surprise my hubby but was dissapointing

The food was really good and so was the service. What I found a disgrace is the fact that I had to pay £10 parking after using there facilities for no longer than one hour. For that reason I wouldn't recommend this venue to anyone.

Upon arrival we was welcomed to the lounge that we were having Afternoon Tea in. The staff were very attentive and friendly. We were shown to our seats where we had a choice of two tables. Once seated we were asked if we wanted Tea/Coffee/Hot Chocolate etc and a glass of Prosecco. Service was very prompt. The food was brought out very quickly. However this was quite concerning in the quality of our food. The sandwiches were very stale but still ate them as did not want to be a nuisance. I wish we had complained now as we were not the only ones dissatisfied. The cakes were not very good quality pretty tasteless. I have had better afternoon tea elsewhere. It was not the best especially for the money we paid we could have had a better meal at a local pub for probably less. Overall I will not be returning to the Hilton for Afternoon Tea. Then after that disappointing hour and a half we had to pay the £10.00 fee for the car park which I think was extortionate for a bad experience and only being there a sort time.

It was a pleasant hotel with nice staff, but the large dining room lacked atmosphere.

Went for afternoon tea with my mom for Mother's Day and was gorgeous.. Staff were extremely friendly. It's the 2nd time I've been and I love it there. Would deffo go back again. Xx

The sandwiches were lovely but you only got a small tray. Cakes not great and only got four tiny cakes between two but the scones were lovely. The restaurant was lovely and the hotel really nice. Not enough food though for the price.

Very enthusiastic and attentive young servers. Lamb shank only luke-warm. Restaurant was austere and a bit soulless - with view of rainy windswept car park.
