With stunning views of the Lancashire countryside from atop Parbold Hill, Miller & Carter – Parbold is a cosy, informal steakhouse with a contemporary design & a large terrace for summer al fresco dining. Specialising in succulent, hand-cut, 28-day aged steaks, the restaurant sources all its meat from sustainable British farms.

The Miller & Carter menu is led by hand-cut, 30-day aged steaks, all carefully sourced from sustainable British & Irish farms, and expertly cooked. Favourite cuts span from a deliciously tender grain-fed sirloin, aged for 50 days for a rich, buttery flavour, to a luxurious sharing chateaubriand. Other Miller & Carter signature dishes include smoky barbecue ribs with seasoned fries & dressed slaw, and lemon & rosemary lamb rump served with dauphinoise potatoes, sautéed exotic mushrooms & tenderstem broccoli.

To finish, sweet indulgences include Miller’s chocolate orange: a shimmering golden globe with ganache and orange toffee. The Miller & Carter cellar is brimming with drinks designed to complement the menu, including chilled draught and bottled beers, crafted cocktails and an impressive wine list of rich reds and sparkling wines.

Miller & Carter – Parbold in Wigan is a 3-minute drive from Parbold Rail Station.

the main meal were excellent but the fries on each meal were cold. we ordered a bottle of white wine when it came it was warm so we had to asked to be replaced and the waitress forgot some other drinks

This is the first time we have visited since it has been refurbished. Only real difference is the position of the toilets

With regards to the menu this is now rather disappointing - the number of started have been reduced.

Also a member of our party requires a gluten free diet - I think your menu could be made clearer rather than giving us a4 separate booklet to read

Unfortunately not sure how soon we will visit again as we was disappointed this time

My partner ordered a t bone medium rare and it arrived well done which meant I had almost eaten my meal before his replacement meal arrived which was a shame because we ended up eating separately We only normally go to miller carter for special occasions as it is expensive and it was my partners 55th birthday treat from me

The restaurant is lovely and very well situated because of the views. The inside was clean and well set out. The food was wonderful, the chicken amazing, so tender and tasty. Our waitress Georgia was lovely, polite ,friendly and welcoming. We will definitely go back.

    Ambience lovely
Waiting an hour for main course was frustrating we felt like we had been forgotten and called the waitress to challenge the delay in the kitchen.
    Overpriced for what you got
Will stay closer to Southport next time more value for money

Nice place, but the service is extremely slow. Waiting an hour between starter and main is unacceptable without an apology. Spoilt the birthday celebrations

The decor of the restaurant is very nice. Toilets were clean. But I thought my dish was not as nice as the last time we ate there. I had fish and chips I don't like skinny chips! . Although my husband enjoyed his chicken. The deserts were very nice as was the wine. Service was prompt, efficient and friendly.

Food was excellent and well presented. The service was slow probably because the restaurant was so busy.
