    I asked for a round table when booking and was delighted - as were our friends - where this was located and how we were able to celebrate in private with our friends the service was excellent - very attentive but not intrusive
    Everyone enjoyed their dishes and all was thoroughly good

    We have been to the Camelot on a few occasions but this wasn't one of the good ones. The service was poor and there seemed to be poor management of the staff standing around in groups, joking with each other, neglecting their customers. It is the first time this year that I haven't left a tip.

    The menu had also changed and, I believe, not for the better. The traditional fish and chips that my wife has always enjoyed, being a fish-eating vegetarian, has now changed to sole tempura. Gone is the deep-fried camembert and in has come a proliferation of brisket dishes at high prices. The price increase, per se, is not a problem but it needs to be backed with culinary expertise, not the 'fast food' cop out.

    I will be waiting for a menu change and some new management before returning to Miller & Carter.
