M/S Prins Carl Philip in Stockholm is one of Strömma Canal Company’s (Strömma Kanalbolaget) turn-of-the-century boats, which today sees diners enjoying its astutely updated version of Swedish dishes.
Pickled herring, lobster and dry-aged beef are just some of the archipelago classics that feature on the M/S Prins Carl Philip menu, but exotic compositions are in evidence too, with tiger shrimp skewers for example. During December there’s a delicious Christmas dinner on board, serving specialities like shellfish ceviche, pork terrine, and tasty reindeer mess.
With unerring dedicated to local produce, each of the dishes on the Prins Carl Philip can be served with a recommended drink. Peter Karlsson blends inspiration from Sweden with Caribbean islands, where he has spent many years as a restaurateur. The drinks menu on the M/S Prins Carl Philip has a selection of white and red wines, champagne, aperitifs, spirits and cocktails, including alcohol-free alternatives. During summer, the sundeck provides a pleasant alfresco area for a pre-meal tipple.
