An inviting eatery right in the centre of Edinburgh, Michael's Steak & Seafood Bar serves up superb surf and turf delicacies, as well as a fine selection of whiskies in a contemporary, industrial-style space.
The Michael's Steak & Seafood Bar menu showcases the finest freshly caught seafood, and prime cuts of steak cooked on the chargrill. There are oysters served on crushed ice with shallot vinaigrette and lemon, crab claws with garlic and herb butter, a kilo of Scottish blue shell mussels, as well as delicacies like smoked haddock and saffron potato terrine with toasted brioche and tartare sauce. From the chargrill there are a selection of 28-day aged steaks, with other mains including beef and oyster pie with a hint of Guinness.
Desserts at Michael's Steak & Seafood Bar in Edinburgh include traditional favourites, such as sticky toffee pudding, chocolate mousse, and a selection of Highland cheeses. The range of scotch whiskies is extensive, and there is also a full wine list.
Showcasing the best in fresh Scottish cuisine, Michael's Steak & Seafood Bar is 6 minutes' walk from Edinburgh Waverley Rail Station.

The food here never fails to please. We choose the lunch menu, excellent value as always.
The table we choose I wouldn't choose again as it was near the kitchen which was at times noisy.

12oz rump steak was great and the chicken breast, both cooked to perfection, good table service, not in your face or overbearing, also a good wine choice and comfortable seating... lovely experience

The beef and guiness pie was a let down. Quality was something I'd expect in a pub rather than a restaurant.

This is my fourth visit . My friends and I used to go to the Old Fleshmarket Close restaurant but we prefer yours it feels very spacious and bright.
Food always excellent and standard of serving staff very high also price very competitive although we always manage the odd bottle of wine with lunch.
We are ladies who lunch so will return in a few weeks

Excellent meal with steaks that were succulent, tender and very tasty. The sea bass was equally good. Excellent presentation of all dishes. Food of a very high standard. The service was impressive with young enthusiastic and efficient waiting staff.
