The staff were very attentive. Pre-meal cocktails delicious and food of a very good quality. I thought the starters were slightly over priced, but couldn't knock the quality of them. Lovely happy birthday gesture for my wife too.

The start of the experience wasn't great as we were evacuated when the fire alarm sounded! A walk down 5 flights of stairs only to be told we could go straight back up.. slight disappointing but I guess these things happen.
The food was amazing. I had scallops to start and they were plump and cooked very well. Roast beef for main which is the best main course I have ever tasted. Banana parfait for dessert which left a real tang in my mouth - im not sure id order that dish again.
The service was impeccable. A real birthday treat.

My wife and I booked in for the 3 course set menu offer. We both really enjoyed our starters and main courses. I had the chicken and duck liver and the lamb, and my wife had the pumpkin soup and the cod. Unfortunately we were both disappointed with the dessert. I had the banana parfait and my wife had the orange polenta cake. Both were far too fussy with too many flavours going on, and very tart! Disappointing end to the meal. The service and ambience in the restaurant were excellent although this did tail off a bit as it got busier.

We found the whole experience disappointing. It was a quiet lunchtime, but the staff were either arrogant or indifferent and the food was no more than average and over priced for what it was. I declined the option of a discretionary 12% service charge. We also noted that some of the chairs and tables had not been cleaned properly for some time.
