Nestled in an historic courtyard, Mews of Mayfair is a restaurant and bar that is both elegant and eccentric. Served from converted 18th-century mews houses, the brasserie menu adds global influences to classic British dishes.

The Mews of Mayfair menu is full of rich, British flavours. Try the venison burger with gin and redcurrant chutney, rib of beef with potato and liquorice, or Cornish sea bass with leeks and peanuts. Carefully sourced British meat is a key feature of the menu, no more so than in the broad range of steak options, with all the British beef dry-aged for a minimum of 35 days. Fresh fish is also abundant, with traditional fish and chips, and the Mews fish pie adding to the market fish of the day options.

Decked out with extravagant chandeliers and large leather sofas, the Mews of Mayfair bar boasts an impressive wine list and an array of signature cocktails. Outdoor seating is also available in the cobbled courtyard.

Offering peaceful elegance amidst the buzz of Mayfair, Mews of Mayfair London is a 6-minute walk from Oxford Circus Tube Station.

We simply loved our tea time experience at Mews. Sandwiches were good, scones were fresh from the oven and the pastries were very good. If th weather had been nicer, we would have eaten outside but since it was cool and rainy we had the tea in a beautiful little tea room. The service was great and they have let us stay there for 3 hours without ever make us feel that it was time to go. Strongly recommend that restaurant. It is quiet and trendy.

Location - interesting and touch of old London. Would visit area again.
Afternoon tea - sandwiches good savouries, cakes were based on chocolate and no fruit, scones as per usual. Tea good choices but cool. Very small bar tables. Service attentive. Value for money - not good in comparison with other local hotels.

beautiful location, but untrained and unattentive staff , standard quality of food, poor lighting, torn sofa and a station hall atmosphere of hectic hustle and bustle.
Staff didn't know about the 25 % reduction for afternoon tea, so there was a lot of unpleasant discussion at the end.

The sandwiches were mediocre at best, scones were fine and sweet desserts ok. However the service was extremely slow.

Service was a bit disappointed and food wasn't great. We had the set menu and I had the mackerel starter, it was edible but I didn't like it. Then both of us had the steak for main. It supposed to come with truffle butter but us didn't, when we asked the waitress she then brought 2 block of cold butter, by then our steak was cold and the butter wouldn't melt on it. I had to ask directly to the manager in order to return the dish when I pointed out the issue. The dish came out ok the 2nd time although there was blood in the dish and part of the steak was very raw (I asked for medium rare). The martini was very good though, and dessert was ok. Overall not impressed.

Nice afternoon tea in Mews of Mayfair, situated in a lovely alley. Probably not the best one but affordable..
