Great deal and the food was great but the bar area was pretty quiet and lacked a bit of atmosphere.

    Great place to go to!

We had the 'festive' afternoon tea.
It started with a complementary cocktail-tge alcoholic/ non alcoholic cocktail menu had unique choices. Both our cocktails were delicious.
There was a great tea selection to go with our food and served in small pots with the leaves removed so the tea gets replaced regularly without the 'stewed' taste. The reason I said it was a selection was because there wasn't the usual monotony of just sandwiches for the savoury section. The only bread was rolled with turkey and trimmings. Other choices include haddock wrapped in smoked salmon, quiche with tomato relish plus other equally delightful food.
The scones were warm and served with clotted cream and jam followed but exquisite cakes which come beautifully boxed up if you cant finish them.
It was a great experience and definitely a unique tea experience with the food choices. Thoroughly recommend a must try for an alternative afternoon tea
    experience.
    Great value for money!

Fantastic festive afternoon tea! Service was outstanding and extras such as the cocktail (one of the best I have had) and egg nog really added to it all. It made a nice change to have savoury items such as fig and quiche instead of sandwiches. Hotel easily located and all staff welcoming. Would go there again.

We informed them one of our party was vegan when booking. We double checked on arrival. The hotel seem unable to grasp the concept. After multiple attempts to cater for the vegan they assured us that her meal was suitable. It still contained cheese! I cannot believe a hotel in London can have such inept service.

Fantastic, friendly service and good food and cocktails, but our experience was marred slightly by the children's party that was taking place next to our table. It wasn't the relaxing afternoon tea in a cool setting that we were hoping for unfortunately.
