A big hit with the Guardian, Menier Chocolate Factory showcases gourmet European dishes in a ‘seductively cool and atmospheric’ setting. Housed in a converted former factory, this theatre-cum-restaurant and bar maintains its edgy industrial vibe.

From casual daytime snacks through to refined chef’s recipes, the Menier menu offers a diverse selection. Alongside sumptuous sharing platters piled high with fresh, natural produce, Menier restaurant favourites include chicken supreme with polenta chips & roasted peppers, or the hand-pressed signature burger with all the trimmings.

Paying tribute to its cocoa-based origins, decadent chocolate desserts at Menier include the famous chocolate platter, or gooey brownie with rich chocolate sauce. An accomplished wine list and chilled international beers complement the award-winning food at Menier in London.

One of London’s most eclectic and arty restaurants, Menier features on-trend reclaimed décor, including timber beams, bare brickwork and exposed pipes. London Bridge stations are a 6-minute walk away.

We had a wonderful meal. Gloriously gooey oven baked camembert with gooseberry jam, sensational lamb shank and fabulous cote de boeuf. All rounded off with a chocolate sharing platter. Great food, beautifully cooked and friendly service.

Warm ,welcoming. Pre theatre menu ,hungarian themed to coincide with production of 'She loves me', was hearty soup, andbeef paprikash. Loved it, just the job for a cold december night. The restaurant is a great place for pretheatre dining at the Menier .

Service was very slow although we arrived at 6pm - had to ask when main meals were coming as time getting on for show. Show menu should state what accompaniments come with main dish, eg rice, pasta, so we know whether we have to order sides. No time for coffee after as had to hurry through to take seats. Never had such slow service and have been to you many times - shame as had friends with us for first visit to you.

Lovely & buzzy, perfect pre theatre

Disappointing. We had the theatre menu but there was only one vegetable, some red cabbage, to accompany the chicken. Filing up the plate with water cress does not lead to a satisfying meal. It was a very ordinary meal. The borscht soup starter was bland and needed some spicing up with some brandy. It all felt that corners had been cut and everything pared to the bone. We were told that there was no time to have olives as a big party was coming in.

Dined after seeing wonderful show Travesties. The restaurant was full. There is not much space between tables & could not see anywhere for coats so it was cosy to say the least. Very dark, not much light from candle on table. Also an artic blast because door left open the entire time we were there. Good choice menu, I plumped for the burger & asked for a side of fries, the waiter advised me that the chips were not very good & suggested wedges instead, I took his advice but found them unremarkable. The burger was fine. My companion had the gnocchi which she said was deep fried & not boiled, odd but ok. We had 2 large glasses of Pinot Grigio each, the bill including 12.5% service amounted to £60
Overall an ok experience & obviously great if you want to eat before or after a show

Most of our party really enjoyed our food. i ordered a veggie burger but was served a meat and bacon burger. Luckily i am not vegetarian so i ate it.
I am not really a fan of beefburgers, so was rather disappointed. I was not given an explanation.

I was very pleasantly surprised. This was our first visit and it won't be the last.
We opted for the Meal Deal and the food was good and humourously selected to match the play (Travesties).
Attractive dining space - so heartening to see an old building being reused with such flair and imagination.

Only negative - although the door was auto-closing, it was bitterly cold every time it opened and that happened every few mins as it's also the way in for the theatre.
