A big hit with the Guardian, Menier Chocolate Factory showcases gourmet European dishes in a ‘seductively cool and atmospheric’ setting. Housed in a converted former factory, this theatre-cum-restaurant and bar maintains its edgy industrial vibe.

From casual daytime snacks through to refined chef’s recipes, the Menier menu offers a diverse selection. Alongside sumptuous sharing platters piled high with fresh, natural produce, Menier restaurant favourites include chicken supreme with polenta chips & roasted peppers, or the hand-pressed signature burger with all the trimmings.

Paying tribute to its cocoa-based origins, decadent chocolate desserts at Menier include the famous chocolate platter, or gooey brownie with rich chocolate sauce. An accomplished wine list and chilled international beers complement the award-winning food at Menier in London.

One of London’s most eclectic and arty restaurants, Menier features on-trend reclaimed décor, including timber beams, bare brickwork and exposed pipes. London Bridge stations are a 6-minute walk away.

We normally love our dining experiences at the Menier but last night we were disappointed to pay more than GBP 15 for a dish of mussels, and find that they were extraordinarily small and not nearly as flavorful as we would have expected. This seemed like very poor value. We appreciated that our waiter suggested that we could have just turned it back in when it arrived if it didn't look good to us, and we should have done that. He did offer us a tea or coffee, but we don't drink that in the evenings. Anyway, just wanted to be honest. The sweet potato chips were excellent and we'll definitely come back again and stay away from the mussels. Thanks for askinbg.

A nice and informal place to eat before seeing a play. Have no particular favourite dishes and am often pleasantly surprised by 'new' dishes. The dishes are not unduly complicated but that would in my view defeat what you are trying to achieve.

Above average theatre restaurant, with service geared to this. Previous assessments have generated 5*. Fell, I thought, just a little below that this time. Was a fairly significant over-pricing on first bill, but quickly corrected when pointed out. Originally charged for 2 set meals instead of 1, the other was a la carte. Noticed 2 others tables were questioning their bills - perhaps something wrong with computer?

The moules mariniere starter was delicious. I would have appreciated a smaller bowl to wash my fingers and another bowl for the empty shells.

I asked for a drink and the server brought a glass filled with ice and started pouring. I don't take ice and would appreciated being asked first. As it is I had to request another glass without ice.

I loved the fact water was already on the table.

The mash and greens for my main were great, though I wasn't a fan of the sausages although they were cooked well. there was something offputting about the flavour, I'm not sure what.

Food and service not acceptable and background music intolerable. Overpriced for what is offered.

The service was very good and the food, overall, was fine. But the toast served with the cold meat platter was burned!

Absolutely rubbish, we were the only two people in having arrived just after the place had emptied into the theater. The staff the proceeded to clean up the whole restraunt around us, the clattering and noise was rediculous. We even left without finishing our meal it was so bad. The food itself was completely nondiscript.
