Excellent atmosphere. Great service and food. Truffle gnocchi makes a welcome rerun to the menu. You would be foolish to leave without tasting the amalfi lemmon sorbet

One of Soho's most sought-after destinations, Mele e Pere blends Italian gastronomy and an on-trend setting. Retro Anglepoise wall lamps and an apothecary-style bar lend an old-school vibe, and the dining room features quirky retro design throughout.

Heading the kitchen, Andrea Mantovani offers a playful mix of classic and modern trattoria dishes. A daily-changing selection ensures optimum freshness, with Mele e Pere menu favourites including braised rabbit with polenta, or gnocchi with mussels and clams. Eclectic artisanal sharing plates are also offered at Mele e Pere in London.

Perfectly in tune with the edginess and vibrancy of Soho, basement bar dwellers can sample Mele e Pere restaurant’s homemade vermouth for a traditional Italian tipple. A lengthy list of Italian wines complements the rustic, natural flavours.

Translating as ‘apples and pears’, Mele e Pere in Soho brings a quirky yet refined eatery to one of London’s liveliest areas. Piccadilly Circus Tube Station is a 4-minute walk away.

We had a lovely meal at Mele e Pere. The special deal was excellent value, the food is lovely, nice tasty dishes. Only the Affogato let them down - too much coffee. It was our second time and it was as nice as we remembered.

A very pleasant dinner, well served with an extensive wine list, although the first two bottles of red wine I ordered were not available.
The à la carte choices were very focused, but the results very tasty.

This was a disappointing evening. We went to this restaurant for a birthday celebration having booked a table from 'bookatable' which was to include a glass of bubbles. None of this transpired and we had to choose the pre theater menu. For the price, this food was simply not good quality - the pork dish was mainly all fat and the ragu was so salty as to burn the mouth. We pointed this out but the pour waitress seemed powerless to do anything in fairness to her, the place was very crowded so this probably made it difficult for her. We would not recommend this restaurant as at these prices if you are interested in well prepared quality food. There should be more emphasis on the basics like quality ingredients and clean toilets! However, if you are with a young crowd having a party, there would be good atmosphere here and it looks nice but be prepared to pay a lot for very average quality food.

Food nicely cooked but a tad too much salt. Waited a long time for the main course to come out

We arrived 45 minutes earlier with the hope that they will be able to accommodate us. It was not a problem, as it was lunch time and they had plenty of space.
The restaurant was nice and so it was the staff, It was nice to be able to have a conversation without having loud music. Nice atmosphere.
My dish said it came with new potatoes, but the new potatoes never arrived. As I felt it was going to be enough for me without them I did not bother to ask about it.
Food was good and we enjoyed our experience. I would recommend it and would like to go back. The rest of the family was also happy with my choice.

Nice homy place. My daughter and I enjoyed our dinner a lot. Delicious starters. I loved my carpaccio. Pork belly was excuisite and the homemade pasta with anchovies was excellent.
As for the deserts the lemon cake with lemon sorbet was very good.
