One of Soho's most sought-after destinations, Mele e Pere blends Italian gastronomy and an on-trend setting. Retro Anglepoise wall lamps and an apothecary-style bar lend an old-school vibe, and the dining room features quirky retro design throughout.

Heading the kitchen, Andrea Mantovani offers a playful mix of classic and modern trattoria dishes. A daily-changing selection ensures optimum freshness, with Mele e Pere menu favourites including braised rabbit with polenta, or gnocchi with mussels and clams. Eclectic artisanal sharing plates are also offered at Mele e Pere in London.

Perfectly in tune with the edginess and vibrancy of Soho, basement bar dwellers can sample Mele e Pere restaurant’s homemade vermouth for a traditional Italian tipple. A lengthy list of Italian wines complements the rustic, natural flavours.

Translating as ‘apples and pears’, Mele e Pere in Soho brings a quirky yet refined eatery to one of London’s liveliest areas. Piccadilly Circus Tube Station is a 4-minute walk away.

Delicious food (especially the squid) and great service. We were a large group and the numbers kept changing, and the restaurant were really accomodating.

We had a great 3 course meal to celebrate a birthday and the staff were so nice to put a on candle on the dessert. The atmosphere was very good and food delicious.

Very nice Vermouth, excellent food, good service (but a lukewarm cappuccino). Will certainly recommend and return.

Started off as a great place, loved the look from the outside and was a very warm atmosphere when we came in. We were seated downstairs by the bar as our table wasn't ready yet, we ordered some fries and and some water and waited to be taken to our table. It got to 9.30 when our booking was made for and still it wasn't ready, at 9.35pm the waitress came over and offered us some prosecco and apologised...we then got seated at 9.45pm and were handed the set menu which I had booked for the food festival for the £25 3 courses. The menu was completely different to the one I had seen online the night before when I booked it, the reason I booked here was because I have a lot of food allergies and this menu suited my needs. When I asked the waitress she told me the menu had changed and I was confused as I didn't know a menu could change over night. After some time and the waitress trying to sort things out I decided I had had enough and just wanted to leave, it was now 10.05pm and we hadn't eaten. The waitress was very nice and done her best, however the manager shouldn't be putting things online that are false advertising. I was out as my partner was leaving the country the next day for a 4 week dancing job. I was extremely disappointed with the overall experience at this restaurant. I left starving hungry and very annoyed.

Really loved this restaurant. We sat upstairs so we could watch the world of Soho go by but downstairs looked awesome as well. The staff are really attentive and the Pre-theatre menu was very good value. We did two courses each and shared the starter and dessert. I was still a little hungry afterwards so I'd suggest doing all 3 courses, but it did leave room for ice-cream at the theatre! The prosecco on tap was much nicer than I expected.

Great food, I take my colleagues visiting from Germany there as we like it. A bit noisy though.
