Lovely staff, yummy food, good value prix fixe. The acoustic tiles on the ceiling are a thoughtful addition - makes conversation in a busy restaurant breezy.

One of Soho's most sought-after destinations, Mele e Pere blends Italian gastronomy and an on-trend setting. Retro Anglepoise wall lamps and an apothecary-style bar lend an old-school vibe, and the dining room features quirky retro design throughout.

Heading the kitchen, Andrea Mantovani offers a playful mix of classic and modern trattoria dishes. A daily-changing selection ensures optimum freshness, with Mele e Pere menu favourites including braised rabbit with polenta, or gnocchi with mussels and clams. Eclectic artisanal sharing plates are also offered at Mele e Pere in London.

Perfectly in tune with the edginess and vibrancy of Soho, basement bar dwellers can sample Mele e Pere restaurant’s homemade vermouth for a traditional Italian tipple. A lengthy list of Italian wines complements the rustic, natural flavours.

Translating as ‘apples and pears’, Mele e Pere in Soho brings a quirky yet refined eatery to one of London’s liveliest areas. Piccadilly Circus Tube Station is a 4-minute walk away.

Lovely restaurant, in a great location. The food was fantastic, my wife and I ate from the fixed menu was was excellent value for money and gave a great range dishes. The chef was happy to adjust one of the dishes to accommodate my wife's allergy too. We were originally going to sit upstairs but asked to move downstairs as it was bigger and had a livelier atmosphere.
Would have given 5 stars but the staff were all so sour faced, it costs nothing to smile!

Service very slow...had to ask to be served...several times :(. A glass was broken at table and several servers noticed and ignored no help offered. Again had to flag a server to help us. I brought guests from US and having had good experience with restaurant previously was very disappointed. I have more guests expected throughout the coming year but will most likely consider reservations elsewhere. Food was excellent.

rehular visitor to this wonderful Italian on Brewer St. Mele e Pere never fails to deliver. Food choice is excellent be it the set menu or a la carte. Staff are very friendly and not intrusive. I had the tuna carpaccio followed by the bream, both wonderfully presented and excellent value. Wine list is mainly Italian but extensive and covers all regions and prices. Highly recommended to one and all.

The restaurant had a very pleasant, relaxed but buzzy atmosphere. The food was very tasty and rustic - good home cooking. The waiting staff were friendly and helpful. We did the £23 deal for three courses and a glass of bubbly and it was great value.

Excellent food, promote and cheery service and a buzzy atmosphere. We went for the set deal, which offers excellent value - a very reasonable alternative to cooking.

We went on Thursday for colleague's birthday lunch. We had booked for 1pm and as we sat down we ordered our food quickly as they had a set lunch menu. However the lunch took us 2.5 hours when the restaurant was not full. We were quite stressed as we all need to get back to work. For that reason, we didn't really enjoy the experience at Mele e Pere as we'd hoped. The food was good though, but it should never take over 2.5 hours to serve 9 people when the restaurant was empty.
