Well i have had some wonderful teas in and around London but for a renown establishment such as the Hilton we were extremely disappointed! Menu indicated a selection of teas, this we weren't even offered... Sandwiches were dry probably preparef earlier in the day. Something I never do was refuse to pay the service charge. We had to look for a waitress to refresh the tea, there was no staff in sight during our time there, when wanting to pay the bill i had to get up and look for someone and upon asking a staff member if i could settle the bill i had this blank expression and i repeated...the tab to which she responded! If u looking for fine dining, a bright crisp sunny restaurant with ambience to take your parent to for a memorable experience..please dont even consider this venue!!!!

My wife and I had an Afternoon Tea at 2pm; we were sat immediately and the service was first class. Upon knowing that ours was a special occasion (40th anniversary) the lady who served us presented us with a plate with some cakes and "Happy Anniversary" written in chocolate. It was a really thoughfull gesture that made our experience even more enjoyable and we really appreciated it.

Very disappointed. It was my Husband and Grandsons first experience of Afternoon Tea and it was a very disappointing experience. We were offered no service at all the tea was more like dishwater than tea. We had to going and ask for a refill and then they gave one pot for six people so had to ask for more. When we left we asked for the remaining cakes to be boxed and were given a piece of foil to wrap them in . we will NOT be going back here.

I booked this as special treat for my daughters birthday. I felt that a Hilton Hotel would offer a quality experience. How wrong. The service was not good. The sandwiches were awful, and had we have been blindfolded would not of had a clue as to what we were eating,. They were very cold which tells me they had been refrigerated for some considerable time and were clearly not fresh. We asked to take two scones home with us. these were wrapped in foil and then given back to us. Not acceptable. very upset by the whole experience.

Booked a table for the family for their £27 Easter Sunday lunch - 3 course set menu with 4 options for each course, plus a children's menu. Good range of interesting but not way-out options for all courses, between us we had several of them. Food quality was uniformly excellent, every dish was well presented and the quantity of food provided was exceptional - the beetroot gravadlax and oven-roasted rump of lamb were particularly notable. The child's fish fingers and chips meal was also good - real gougons of fresh fish! - and our 5-year-old granddaughter loved it (as she did the Easter egg hunt which had been laid on for the occasion!). Service was generally attentive, courteous and efficient, the only slight issue being a rather long wait to be served the first course. Restaurant itself is modern and comfortable, if a touch sombre in its décor. All-in-all, very enjoyable and good value for a special occasion - we will certainly go back again to try out their regular menu.

The cream tea was very nice although we never got asked if we would like any refills of tea, the staff were nice but not attentive, table wasn't cleared and had to request the bill twice as first waitress went away after we requested our bill.
