Offering a cool twist on one of Italy’s favourite delicacies, Meatballs serves wonderfully wholesome treats in trendy Clerkenwell. Housed in a restored Victorian chop house, hefty church pews and black and white tiling make for a timeless setting.

Sourcing from premium suppliers, the Meatballs menu compiles an impressive stock of ingredients. Free range pork, Orkney beef and lamb and Banham’s poultry ensure only the finest meats are used in the infamous Meatballs London offerings. Favourite mixes include pork and rosemary with parmesan cream, or chicken with lemon and caperberry.

Alongside the meaty offerings, Meatballs Farringdon offers vegetarian combinations, as well as nostalgic dessert recipes. Treats include Aunty Joyce’s baked egg custard, or iced dark chocolate cake with brandy-soaked raisins.

Built in the 1870s, this Grade II-listed setting is an iconic destination for simple yet sumptuous cuisine. Meatballs restaurant is 7 minutes’ walk from Farringdon Rail Station.

I'd been walking past the empty [...] for some time wondering what it was like inside, so was excited to hear another restaurant had opened in the space and kept the original features. The place looks great inside and out.We were greeted by friendly staff who seemed genuinely pleased to serve us, and were also attentive but not hovering over us like some waiting staff tend to. The food came quickly and was well presented, imaginative and very tasty. The simple concept of the menu works really well, and 'less is more' definitely applies here as, rather than being crammed with too many options, they have instead chosen to perfect just a few well-thought out options that you can mix and match to create your own meal. The perfect place to go on your way to a gig, as we did, and very reasonably priced. I'll definitely go back when I'm in the area, and I've already recommended it to others.
