Showcasing sublime French and Asian fusion cuisine, maze is brought to you by Gordon Ramsay Group. The restaurant boasts an open sushi kitchen, and the dining room overlooks well-heeled Grosvenor Gardens in Mayfair.
Innovative and refined, the maze menu is designed so guests can enjoy an array of tasting-sized dishes. Choose from freshly-rolled sushi, or French-inspired flavours like duck with Romanesco, wild mushrooms & lemon, or halibut with truffles, leeks & artichokes.
The dining room at Maze in London is decorated with elegant handcrafted screens, pink-hued panels and pistachio furnishings. Choose from an extensive list of cocktails shaken at the glossy rosewood bar, or select from the fine wine list, where many lesser-known growing regions feature.
In one of London’s most exclusive postcodes, Maze in Mayfair is found 5 minutes’ walk from Bond Street Tube Station. The Maze restaurant dress code is casual, with smart trainers and denim allowed though no shorts or sportswear permitted.

small portions, good service, expensive for what it was, restaurant relaxing - plenty of space - just not value for money, takes the edge of a good night

We had booked for 13:30 and arrived at 13:15 and we were lead to a table for “drinks while we waited.” My colleague ordered “A Pastis and water.” The barman/waiter had no idea what this was and obviously thought it was a type of water…” When “A Ricard or a Pernod” was mentioned, he seemed to grasp it and went off but returned with a small glass filled to the brim with Pernod and a drinking glass of water. This was half rectified after some more explaining.
From start to finish there were only 3 tables occupied but it was not until 13:40 that we were led to ours. Our waiter asked if we wanted more drinks although we had not finished the Pastis. She explained the menu system quickly and left. The sommelier arrived, and this man – like all sommeliers – was a star. He did not have the wine we wanted but proposed an excellent alternative.
Spicy salmon roll with ginger and cucumber – basically Sushi but very well done – delicious.
Roast cod with a subtle sauce – cooked by a chef who understood fish.
Parcels of chicken (the name eludes me) with a sauce and noodles - all outstanding.
Three pieces of cheese – there is no choice of cheese and the ones that arrived seemed a random boring choice - . leftovers from the cheese trolley?.
Strawberries with macerated macadamia nuts – Now, this was worth the price and the trip alone. Truly wonderful.
The service was a little obtrusive – Why does a waiter need to ask is if we are enjoying the meal whilst we are talking?
At the end we had a tour of the all but deserted kitchen. The restaurant never filled up - I wonder if it still has a Michelin Star?

Lovely food although a bit sparse. We had a lovely evening celebrating our wedding anniversary. We were on a special £30 menu which was 3 courses and a cocktail. We did ask for the wine list twice but it never materialised and I wasn't going to ask again. We were given a cocktail menu. Staff were ok started off very good but this didn't last so I wouldn't say the service was that great. I am not sure whether this was because we were not eating from the A La Carte menu or just the way it is always. Would recommend it but I have been to better places so I probably won't return unfortunately.

Everything from start to finish was excellent, staff welcoming and friendly, cocktail amazing, beef exceptional, would go back again. Only criticism the cost of a glass of wine exceptionally high so had another cocktail instead !
Can't fault this place x
