On the Maximilianstraße, Bayern, the stylish restaurant Maximilians Augsburg welcomes the guests of the Steigenberger Hotel Drei Moors with outstanding service.
Seasonal and regional changing dishes, including tapas, stand to be the focus with the elaborate selection of German and international wines at attractive prices. Every Sunday there is a brunch from 11:30 to 14:30. The restaurant Maximilians Augsburg's integrated front kitchen allows guests to watch the chefs at work.
The Steigenberger Drei Moors Augsburg is one of the most traditional hotels in Germany and looks back on a history of more than 500 years. As the first port of the Fugger city it is integrated in an architectural structure, right on the magnificent Maximilianstraße. Major sights are in the immediate vicinity such as the Schaezlerpalais, right next to the hotel.
After an extensive renovation and expansion, the Steigenberger Drei Moor was reopened in March 2012. The house has 131 rooms and suites that are decorated in a timelessly modern and restrained, elegant style. For meetings and banquets, there are eleven function rooms and the central ballroom, the 'Teehalle', with a spectacular glass dome. Gastronomic treats await guests at the fine-dining Sartory and Maximilians Augsburg restaurant with front kitchen. The 3m bar overlooking the Maximilianstraße and outdoor seating area offers itself as a meeting place for guests. The 360 square metre oriental-style wellness area, Relax Max, welcomes day guests.

Hervorragendes Essen und sehr angenehmes Ambiente; bzgl. Service ist aber noch Luft nach oben: zwar sehr freundlich, aber zum Teil unaufmerksam z.B. beim Nachschenken des Weins (erst auf Aufforderung), Vergessen der Espresso-Bestellung

3-Gang Menü zu Abend (Frühlings-Menü) und Sonntagsbrunch sind sehr zu empfehlen. Schöne Präsentation der Speisen, sehr aufmerksamer und zuvorkommender Service. Insgesamt Erwartungen erfüllt oder sogar übertroffen.

Sehr aufmerksamer Service bei Gerichte- und Weinauswahl. Gute Qualität. Tischbetreuung (z. B. Wein, Nachspeise?) während des Abends nachlässig. Gegen Ende (nach 22 Uhr; z. B. bei Garderobe) kein Service mehr.

The meal was very good. However it was very disappointing, having made a booking for 14.00, to be told upon arrival that the kitchen closed at 14.30. We can't and shouldn't be expected to know that. If the kitchen closes at 14.30, bookings shouldn't be accepted for 14.00. Christmas Eve is a special date and the experience was somewhat spoilt by being rushed.
