Tucked away just off The Strand, The Gin Palace is an elegant cocktail bar, featuring over 30 Gins, 20 Whiskies, an innovative cocktail list and truly original bar food. Discover a truly original take on afternoon tea with their ‘Gin & Tea,’ offering everything you love from a classic afternoon tea, but with a cheeky gin cocktail twist.
A quintessentially British cheeseboard leads the Gin Palace Bar menu, featuring a mature wedge of Croxton Manor Cheddar, divine Colston Basset Stilton and a deliciously creamy Somerset brie. It’s followed by the delightful slider trio of 3 mini beef, chicken and lamb burgers, served with a zingy tomato relish and chunky chips. Or alternatively a plate of prosciutto and fresh figs, served with pear chutney. Smaller dishes to share include chicken satay, lamb kofta or seafood dim sum.
Swathed in rich chocolate and orange hues, the mirrored bar reflects the polished oak furnishing and comfy leather armchairs. Contemporary spotlights illuminate the dining area, whilst bouquet lights spill over metallic vases, adding a touch of old-school glamour to Gin Palace restaurant.

Customer reviews for Gin Palace
(((** 22 May 2017 by Pam Fleetwood from London
The Gin Palace is not open on a Sunday. Your website is incorrect and should be amended accordingly. We were moved in a lounge area . We arrived on time and shown to setee and waited 20 minutes for a pot tea. We waited a further 40 mins for afternoon tea to arrive. Gluten free tea for one was ordered as per original booking . My partner had his tea I had to wait another 20 mins to a gluten free tea.. the Gin cocktail special was served.? The bill was reduced because it was a different venue. The food was lovely for non gluten free but the cake selection lacked the flair for gluten free. Gluten free scones were nice and sandwiches.
For me it was not what I expected as it was a special event and did not live up to The RItz, Fortnum & Masons, Browns and Park Lane Hotel. What a disappointment. Customer service is very poor and I don't think it front of house staff. They were polite and gave service with a smile to oblivious to the time the keep you waiting.?

So disappointed that the Gin Palace is shut EVERY Sunday but I booked the Gin Palace and it is written all over the site and the confirmation. This was a 60th present imagine my disappointment and in front of my friends too. I seriously could not comprehend this. Even this feedback requests this about the Gin Palace and I never got to enter the Gin Palace, I would like a lovely tea set as compensation please and an apology.

We booked the gun palace for a friend's birthday. However when we arrived, the gin palace was not open so we were sat in the hotel bar. We had to wait over an hour for our tea to be served despite booking it for 2:30pm. The service was slow and when we complained about how long we had been waiting the waitress did not believe us. We eventually got 25% taken off the bill. The gin cocktails were nice as were the cakes and scones were warm which is always good. It was a shame the service let it down.

Very nice afternoon tea, great cocktails. Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful but rather inattentive, so getting served more drinks was hard work.

The Gin infused tea was excellent! It was a treat for my daughter's birthday and she likes Gin so I thought it would be different twist to the traditional afternoon tea and it didn't disappoint. We had the Gin Palace Tea which was so amazing my daughter had to have a second one! The food was very good but we couldn't eat all of it so took some home in a cake box.The environment and surroundings were contemporary but quite funky which again was a bit different to the usual hotel lounge or restaurant look. The service was very good and we enjoyed a relaxed couple of hours. The staff did not attempt to hurry us or make us feel as we had overstayed our visit.

I booked a Gin Afternoon Tea at the Gin Palace for myself and six friends to celebrate a 60th birthday. We had a wonderful time. The staff were lovely and the food was delicious and very attractive. The gin exotic tea infused cocktails were huge and also delicious.
A great afternoon with lots of laughter in lovely surroundings
