We went to Maroush 1 to celebrate my brother's birthday. We found the staff helpful and polite. The food is a little expensive but worth it. I would recommend the grilled prawns which came with rice. Overall it was a nice setting for a celebration.

Opened in 1983, Maroush I serves Lebanese cuisine in a lively two-floor restaurant. Full of character and colourfully decorated, the restaurant is also host to live music and belly dancers.

From the Maroush menu, fresh flavours and immaculate presentation combine to create a range of exciting options. Try fresh king prawns with signature spicy sauce, charcoal-grilled skewers of seasoned minced lamb, or aubergine stew served with vermicelli rice. An array of hot and cold mezze dishes are also on offer, including deep-fried lamb meatballs, charcoal-grilled marinated chicken wings, and vine leaves filled with rice, tomato, parsley, mint and onion.

Aromatic desserts at Maroush I include baked vermicelli with cream cheese, topped with rosewater syrup and sprinkled with pistachios, and traditional Lebanese rice pudding. To accompany the exotic live entertainment, the drinks list includes a wealth of classic cocktails, international wines, and a range of spirits.

A relaxed setting for authentic Lebanese cuisine, Maroush I is a 4-minute walk from Marble Arch Tube Station.

They're a very popular restaurant so a booking is essential. Food is good but I think it's overpriced for what you get. Service is very hit and miss. I doubt I'll return here.
