Marco’s New York Italian – Media City serves mouth-watering food inspired by Italian and American traditions. From world-famous chef Marco Pierre White, the restaurant brings authentic New York style to Salford’s buzzing Media City.

The Marco’s menu reflects New York’s rich culinary history, mixing classic Italian dishes with American favourites. This fusion is epitomised in penne with New York meatballs, or barbecue chicken pizza with hickory sauce. Traditional Italian offerings include spaghetti carbonara and wild mushroom risotto, whilst a hot and spicy hot dog or New York rack of ribs smothered in barbecue sauce, provide hearty American indulgence.

Marco’s is packed with contemporary and vibrant furnishings, with rich red American-diner-style seating adding to the New York feel. Bathed in light from the large windows, the relaxed bar area offers a host of wines, beers and spirits.

A stone’s throw from the water at Salford Quays, Marco’s Manchester is a 7-minute drive from Salford Crescent Train Station.

We thoroughly enjoyed our Afternoon Tea. The food was lovely and the staff were very pleasant. The cheesecake slice was particularly nice.

We had a 'while you a wait' garlic bread with cheese and buffalo wings to start and both were amazing. The garlic bread was 9" pizza sized which we were definitely surprised about. For mains my other half had the fillet steak which melted in the mouth. I had the baby back ribs which were huge and also very tasty. We aren't usually ones for dessert and especially after already being so full, however the rest of the food had been that good that we wanted to give them a try. We shared at a chocolate brownie which was dark chocolate (my favourite) and served with ice cream. Once again we were not disappointed! Staff were all very friendly and attentive, we had Carla serving us and she was very chatty and a credit to you. Although we were placed by the window on arriving the view is out over a car park which isn't great, however that may just be being picky as other than that neither me or the wife could fault the place and we will definitely be back again. We were even pleasantly surprised when the bill came given everything we had had over the evening and that doesn't happen too often when you go into a named restaurant!

    The food was very disappointing
My partner had the fish skewer with spaghetti and he thought that baby food would have more flavour
I had the chilli penne pasta and it was rubbish
I think that a little chef restaurant would beat this
The decor felt like being in a motorway cafe or airport cafe
    The menu was uninspiring

However the wine was ok and staff pleasant

Marco's take on afternoon tea was brilliant. At first I though that's not going to fill me, how wrong I was. I couldn't finish it. Loved it so much I'm going back again next week *****

It was a fantastic experience, afternoon tea was definitely one of the best if not the best we have had! Staff were brilliant, especially Emillie, such a lovey girl, so informative and ever so attentive, she is definitely an asset to your restaurant. Already looking forward to out next visit.

Good value afternoon tea. Went with a friend for my Birthday and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. Lovely restaurant and good food and service.

The service was terrible and had we had time before the theatre we would have absolutely refused to pay the 10% standard service charge but despite given them prior notice of the theatre we still ended up running over and being late.
There were 12 in our party and I am not surprised the restaurant was practically empty at the 5-7 dinner slot in such a busy part of town bursting with theatre goers and shoppers. The food was nice but the portion size for the children was far too much, the starters were the same size as the mains. However, the children's menu was good with something for everyone and a reasonable price. The main menu was ok but a lot more pricey but again huge starter portion sizes. Main dishes were ok.
Be warned on drinks prices we were mortified on receipt of the bill at the price of £9.75 for a glass of wine.
    We will not be returning.
