Had a really lovely evening. Beautiful day helped I'm sure, but lovely food, very nice waitress, comfortable environment with music at just the right volume. The espresso martinis were amazing!

From world-renowned chef Marco Pierre White, Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Birmingham marries an ultra-slick setting and sumptuous old school recipes. On the 25th floor of the spectacular Cube building, 360-degree views of the city are offered.

Offering a range of uncomplicated classics, the Marco’s menu stays true to British cooking, with dishes like signature shepherd’s pie, or roast partridge with chipolatas and bread sauce. Heading a sterling selection at Marco’s restaurant is a range of succulent 28-day-aged steaks. Sample a novel-thick cut of T-bone, or a luxurious fillet served with all the traditional trimmings.

Nostalgic flavours for dessert see old school classics served with a high-end twist, with offerings like bread & butter pudding, or a retro sherry trifle. An extensive wine list at Marco’s in Birmingham perfectly complements the richly flavoured cuisine.

Evoking a cool cosmopolitan vibe in this breath-taking setting, guests can enjoy Marco Pierre White Steakhouse's glass-fronted al fresco terrace during warmer weather. The Mailbox is a stone's throw from MPW Steakhouse, and New Street Station is 10 minutes' walk away.

Our first visit to Marco Pierre Whites last week and we can't wait to go back. The staff were attentive and so lovely. The food was amazing! We both had the sea bass and enjoyed every mouthful!
It had been raining as we travelled to Birmingham but the clouds disappeared as we arrived which allowed fantastic views from our table with a rainbow too!
Overall, a most enjoyable and relaxing evening. Thank you so much. We'll certainly be returning.

Unfortunately our meal was somewhat disappointing. My partner's meal, chicken, was fine but my fish, Sea Bream, left a lot to be desired. We had to wait a long time between our starter plates being cleared and our mains arriving- 25 minutes. My fish was overcooked but on the edge between cold and lukewarm. The portion was also miserly. We ordered spinach and new potatos as additional side orders at a cost of £3.75 each. The potatos were very small and the spinach was not only stringy, it came as a soggy green globular mass, it was at least hot.
We received no check back during the meal so I did not have the opportunity to voice my dissatisfaction. When I received the bill I advised the server that I was not happy, particularly when I saw a £5 service charge had been added automatically. On our way out I advised the greeter of our disappointment and she was most apologetic and insisted that we had a complimentary tea & coffee before we left- that was good of her, however for the rest I am disappointed as we have eaten here on a number of occasions and always previously had excellent meals.

I've been to Marco Pierre Whites's on many occasions and have always found the food & service very good.

The one thing I would say is when I was there yesterday the restaurant was not busy and we asked for a window seat but was denied there was also a party of four people asked too but where told they couldn't sit in the window tables.

There where several empty tables in the window.

I understand they charge for window seats but it's all about the customer and small gestures go a long way.

The afternoon tea was pleasant. The sandwiches were a little on the dry side.
There was a nice selection of cakes.
The staff did not seem as professional as I would have expected. We were left for quite a while after we were seated. The couple next to us were served first.
We had to ask for cups and saucers and for extra hot water.
The view of the city was spectacular.
Once we had been served, the staff did check we were OK.
I think the staff need a little more training in meeting and greeting and paying attention to detail.

We had afternoon tea and it was not as nice as it used to be - I now understand why it was cheaper than it used to be. I personally would prefer to pay more to receive the quality that has been received before.
That being said I still did enjoy it and if you hadn't had been there before it would be a lovely afternoon tea.
