I was celebrating a very special birthday with three friends and I booked Afternoon Tea. We were shown to our table by very polite staff members and told us of the menu options. When the tea and cakes came which were very nice but was spoilt by small flies like mosquitoes, we inform the waiter and he just waved his tea towel around. When a different waitress came with the bill she seemed to know about these flies and said they were in the kitchen too. I do think that this afternoon special tea will be remember for the flies and that the restaurant staff should have moved us to a area which was not affected. I was really surprised there was no apology.

Fabulous tea, the sandwiches were so light, interesting and tasty. Each sandwich made with a different flavoured bread, superb.
The scones were light and fluffy and then so many small delightful cakes, that we couldn't quite finish.
The only minor detail was that the tea arrived early but without milk..After a top up of tea, again no milk provided and staff were not around to ask for more.

Excellent as always for private dinners. (Six or fewer people). We had the chateaubriand which was sublime!

The atmosphere and the staff were excellent, however the afternoon tea itself left a lot to be desired.
The finger sandwiches were not exceptional and some were a little soggy. The scones were very small (just 2 bites each). The cakes were nice but a little too ordinary, Good selection of tea but not hot enough. Coffee was also on offer but arrived luke warm but was changed without any fuss.

Fabulous restaurant and amazing staff. This was are second visit and again we were not disappointed.
The waiter recognised us and made us feel welcome.
We ordered the sharing meat plate to start, which was great. We ordered the lamb and the belly of pork for our main course. Both dishes were fantastic, the lamb was tender and full of flavour. The pork was delicious and so filling, but too many butter beans for me.
I also ordered the knickerbocker glory, which was so refreshing after a truly decadent meal.
They surprised my partner with a Birthday plate at the end of the meal. It was a lovely touch with the candle and beautiful writing on the plate.

The London HIlton at Syon Park was perfect for afternoon tea. The table was lovely, we had three people attending to us and they were very helpful and efficient. We were celebrating a special birthday and at my request they provided a slice of chocolate cake with a candle on it and wrote Happy Birthday in chocolate on the plate. They even gave the lady celebrating her birthday a card signed by our servers. There was more than enough to eat, lovely sandwiches and a variety of cakes. The table was pretty and there wasn't a problem with adding a few decorations of our own. The toilets were very nice. The food, service and experience was perfect.
