Service was good apart from one waitress was very mardy. Food was average, the pork tasted like perfume and when I pointed this out it was ignored. I could of cooked better at home.

The service staff were incredible throughout dinner. We arrived at the very start of service and they were so attentive right from then. The food was delicious in every aspect. The ambiance of the restaurant was perfect, the panel of windows overlooking the cathedral was highlighted which was so pretty. Apparently the lamb dish was ridiculously good, I myself would recommend the fish and chips for those who are hungry. The portion sizes were spot on and the puddings are to die for.
The only slight criticism was that my partner isn't a huge fan of wine, so was unsure if any other drinks were available. I'm sure if we'd have asked they would have told us, but initially it looked as though it was just wine that is served.
Overall, would definitely recommend this restaurant. The staff are wonderful and that really made it that little bit more lovely.

We went for our 20th Wedding Anniversary. The waitressing staff was excellant and polite. They brought us complimentary glass of processco .. My husband had the Fish and Chips potion size was very good and no fault could be made. Myself i had the Chicken dish which was very succulent and the tastes were spot on.. I have no complaints.
Recommend the restaurant to my friends.

The venue and the staff were lovely we did feel let down by the food as it was not very tasty and somewhat bland and basic. Not value for money and in Lincoln there are alot of restaurants seeing up far better food . It's a shame really the restaurant was far better before it was taken over let's hope it goes back to how it was . Also the restaurant had no atmosphere .

Best features were certainly the wonderful cheerful helpful staff and the view across Lincoln. Apart from that VERY ordinary. Table cloth on top of standard hotel cover, cutlery and crockery what I would expect from any reasonable restaurant and poorest quality I have experienced in a restaurant of thislevel. Camembert was excellent as was wine. Steak ordered as rare came medium (didn't complain as it was an Anniversary meal and my wife had started hers). The eating experience I would describe as of a good basic standard but at nearly double the cost. If this is what Marco Piierre considers fine dining he should go back to college. I love his phiosophy which should be the aim of any home cooking but suspect it is a smokescreen to overcharge. Will not return nor recommend. ............ Robert

The restaurant was immaculate, the cutlery shone, the glasses sparkled and the linen was clean and crisp. Service was under-skilled, more training required - more 'roadside diner' than fine dining, waiting staff uttered a few embarrassed "Enjoy"s. Food was 'capable pub', lacking in choice and creativity. Wide open doors to the noisy bar next door gave a students' union feel to the evening. The view was stunning and the experience didn't do it justice.
