Food was excellent as was the service, however extras such as veg & sides were all on top of our set menu & added a considerable cost to the meal, so beware!

My friend and I had lunch at this restaurant on the Bookatable deal. The restaurant telephoned me the day before to confirm the booking and ask for my credit card details to secure it. This is the first time that this has happened with a booking made through Bookatable. I refused to give my details which, as it turned out, was completely unnecessary anyway, as the place was nowhere near full. The meal was good value, delicious and well presented. However, the staff did not seem particularly welcoming and we did feel that they were trying to rush our meal. When we came to pay, we were presented with a ludicrously incorrect bill. We will not be going back.

    Sir
I dined at your establishment last night.
The basis was a bookatable reservation see below.

Three courses inc. cocktail streak and pudding.
I was charged 7.50 extra for the puddings, which was outrageous and contrary to the offer on the basis of which I made the reservation.
We had two glasses of wine - and were charged £24.00 for them. I was given the impression that £12.00 would cover the two hardly large glasses.
The optional service charge is not optional and just added to the bill, which [with one beer beforehand] came to the eye watering figure of £134. 94.
Please reimburse to my credit card [I was at Table 6 at 6pm] for the puddings - £15.00, and please do not allow Bookatable to give quite misleading impressions about the true cost of a night out in your establishment.
I expect a reply at your earliest convenience.

Lovely food, great service and the restaurant had a cosy feel. Only one tiny thing, the Internet offer included a glass of champagne but we were offered a cocktail.
