Beautiful restaurant and beautiful food. Had a lovely evening here last Friday.

The waiters were extremely attentive without being over-bearing and the whole place had a very relaxed atmosphere.

Great deal through Bookatable

The ambience was very nice and the waiting staff were very good. We booked the £25 per person 4 course deal but were a little disappointed at how expensive all of the sides were. The main course came alone so we had to add sides at £4.75 each and we were going to share between two people, this wasn't possible as the portion of mash we got was a table spoon size and the seasonal veg was only asparagus. The steak we asked for medium well but was very burnt on the outside and chewy. With the service charge, the bill came to £89, and we only had one drink each! The offer makes you think you think you're getting a good deal but actually, when it all adds up, you're spending a fortune.

lovely food! bit of a wait for a table but waiting time for food was reasonable, the deal definitely represented value for money, great deal. Staff was very welcoming took our coats and offered to put our coats on, great service.

Nice beef. We had the special offer menu. Do be aware that the steak doesn't come with anything so you have to pay extra for all the sides. Highlights were the beef rib, chicken parfait, beef bourguignon and all the desserts we tried were good.

My partner and I went to the LSC this Friday for the set menu.

Service - prompt, energetic, empathetic and participating 4.5/5

Food - we went in for the 4 course set menu. Every course stood out distinctly. The celery soup to start with was a brilliant pallete opener. The chicken liver parfait and Tuna Tartare served with hard breads had a great combination of textures and a very herby after taste prepping the buds up for the main course. The rump steak was juicy and flavourful but the real winner was the pepper sauce it was served with. My partner's main course dish was a pork belly served in a beans broth. While the pork belly itself was brilliantly done, the bean broth, with its briny taste and confused texture, I would say was the weakest component of the evenings menu. The Rigal, a light bodied french Malbec, went really well with both the meats with its light, airy and smooth texture and flow. For desserts we chose the Vanilla cheese cake and the Chocolate Truffle cake and were thoroughly impressed by the contrasting textures and degrees of sweetness. The cheesecake was light and relied on the berry sorbet for sweetness. On the other hand the chocolate cake was intense, sweet and dense with the sorbet acting as a palette cleanser. 4.5/5

Ambience - It was Friday and the place was packed. It was loud with some very indiatinct music. So not the place if you are out to celebrate a special occasion. Overall a fun friday evening dinner I would say! 3.5/5

We had a great time with good service, food and atmosphere.
Very handy as it is just near Liverpool Street.
The menu was also very good value.

Menu (£25) is good value for money. However everything else is pricy for the quality you get (wines, sides). Sides are not included in the menu.

The biggest disappointment is the service. Although staff is nice. It's definetely not up to the standard of such a place. Additional cutlery were thrown at us, wine list upside down... Service way too familiar and lack of expertise.
Given prices of extras you would expect, and actually can get, greater service in fine dining restaurant somewhere else.

First time in 3 years I've been living in London that I refused to pay the service charge.
