Overall a good experience and very good value with the offer. Food good but service was very erratic and slow. Improved noticeably when the shift change happened during the afternoon.

The restaurant is tucked away on Middlesex Street and not very noticeable. My husband and I took nearly 10 mins searching for it and only found it after speaking to one of the staff on my mobile. We booked the promotional Beef Tasting Menu and the attending waiter was very helpful in explaining the menu. As both of us do not drink alcohol or cold water, we asked for hot water with a lemon slice which came in a cup each. The starters of Beef Carpacio and braised beef short ribs were very well presented and tasted delicious. For the main, I had the Beef Wellington and my husband opted for the Beef Bourguignon. The Beef Wellington looked more like a pie and the pastry was too soft and soggy much to my disappointment. Luckily the beef was succulent. My husband enjoyed his dish very much, saying the beef was very tender and sauce very tasty. We loved the desserts of creme brulee and chocolate & chestnut truffle cake. However, when the bill came, we were surprised that they charged us £4 for two cups of hot water and put it down as bottled water! When asked to explain this charge, we were told that it's the rule of the restaurant. They should have said so when we asked for hot water. It should be complimentary.which is normally the case when we dine anywhere in London. Anyway, we didn't bother to pursue the matter but will know better in future.

Food pretty good but headline rate of £25 is a bit deceptive. Bill with a couple of bottles of house wine came to £280 for 3! Service is not up to the price I'm afraid. There are better places.

Superb food & service. Had set menu but it could have been off the a la carte. Classy but relaxed atmosphere. 5 stars for our waiter Peter, who was attentive but not intrusive & unlike some set menu restaurants, we did not feel rushed in any way. Will definitely be back.

Booked the set menu and had a nice rump steak and chips. Service friendly and helpful.
