The food was nice, except the steak I had, it was tough so hard to cut (felt like I was sawing through it at times) but my friend had the same meal and her steak was absolutely fine so just bad luck on my part. We shared chips and veg as they were an extra £4.50 each. Water was extra too which they don't tell you about. Service was good if not a bit too over the top. We were first diners there for lunch and it felt like they were hovering over us the whole time or having personal conversations right next to us which I felt was unprofessional. We had two separate waiters come over to wipe down our table unnecessarily. The cocktails they provide as part of the 3 courses for £25 were devine!
A nice enough experience the once, would not go back however.

Very attentive staff serving really good food made our visit well worth while. Not exactly cosy as tables are very close together - but for lunch this didn't matter. The B-a-T deal was good value, including a rump steak that really was of excellent quality and expertly cooked. I'd certainly visit again.

Not the best dinning experience, sent steak back under cooked returned without side order, ordered fresh baked bread.....never arrived.
Requested a bottle of wine.... Waited ...... Had to request wine AGAIN!!!! Could not eat fillet steak !!! Tasteless not good (how can you mess up fillet steak-bazar).
Cheesecake like a lump of butter/lard thank Goodness for a bit of blackberry juice for flavour......made to feel like it was our fault the food was poor also told they were short staffed????????

My friend and I had the three courses for £25.00 and I am so glad we did. The food choices were excellent and we were both pleasantly surprised by the portion size. We thoroughly enjoyed our cocktails which were included. The staff were excellent and very accommodating, we were running 15 minutes late and this was no problem when I rang ahead to inform them, I also loved the fact that we were rushed off our table (we were the last to leave!) as I know some restaurants can rush your evening to fill the table again. Our total bill came to £33.00 each as we had to pay £4.00 extra per side but I still think this was great value for dining at such a lovely restaurant. My friend is a vegetarian and the menu was very varied and therefore meant that she still had plenty of choice, as a meat lover the clear choice for me was the steak which was beautifully cooked rare. My only feedback would be that the tables were quite close together so you lost a bit of privacy but that certainly hasn't put us off dining there again!

When putting your well established name to a restaurant such as Marco Pierre White has done, then the standards need to be top class. Certainly the beef served in this steakhouse is of good quality which is just as well after a disappointing starter. The shredded salt beef was exactly that and far too salty, the gravadlax again of good quality was not enhanced by a mustard sauce which was barely discernable from plain mayonnaise. The Cambridge burnt cream desert was a good creme brulee. The service was very good but overall very little to distinguish this steakhouse from other restaurants and a chef with a heavy hand on the salt!

Fantastic food, great service and all round excellent atmosphere- highly recommended. £4 for a bottle of still water was too expensive, but overall very happy.
