Glasserie at Mansion House enjoys exclusive views of Glasgow city centre, owing to its impressive floor-to-ceiling windows, and serves a fusion of East-West cuisine. Haggis dumplings paired with clapshot and a dash of malt whisky cream sauce lead the Glasserie menu at Mansion House, along with steamed, fleshy mussels cooked in fragrant Thai spices and served with sweet coconut milk. Main courses include lamb chump served on crispy shepherd’s pie croquettes and marinated in rich rosemary gravy, whilst a Thai green chicken curry packs in flavour with sticky basmati rice, scallions and crackers.
Dainty beaded curtains and opulent gilded mirrors adorn the walls, whilst shabby-chic leather sofas and distressed oak furnishing add a touch of vintage glamour to Glasserie restaurant. Sea-shell chandeliers suspend above the low-lit dining area, casting a muted glow across the exposed brickwork.

I was aprehensive as I had booked on Wednesday night and woke up on Thursday to see the online papers reporting the closure of the venue! I tried in vain to contact them and decided to cancel. I then booked via their online system and it worked as I had an e-mail through from a person in Mansion House. I rang and asked if they were open and they confirmed that they were until Sunday. I therefore re-booked via tastecard and yourselves and they treated us like royalty. We were the only customers in and it was amazing! The staff were warned not to discuss the closure but were fab and everything was just perfect! With the 50% off food too the deal was even better! Glad we went! Xx

The menu was pretty extensive and there was plenty for my friend to choose from as she is on a strict food regime. In fact both friends are and I am pescatarian so you might say 3 fussy picky eaters at moment. My friend Ruby enjoyed the surf and turf that consisted of a 6 oz sirloin steak and 3 large prawns and was served with salad garnish and choice of rice and quinoa/fries/sweet potato fries. She chose the sweet potato fries as she is allowed them and she said her meal was cooked to perfection. The deal we had gave 50% off food with the tastecard and her dish was good value at £20 but even better at £10! Myself and Anne chose the £13.50 (though discounted to £6.75 each) baramundi with black rice and quinoa and it had been baked with the rice etc stuffed in the middle with some herbs and was also served with salad garnish and french fries! All I can say is that we both thoroughly enjoyed the food too and we were looked after very well by Melissa on the day! I have put an entry onto tripadvisor too! Will definitely return here soon! Xx

Defo won't be back!!! Restaurant was mega busy, this was the excuse for waiting almost 3 hours for our food. There was a mix up with the booking which was for 7.00pm. Food then ordered around 7.40 pm, after complaining after an hour of waiting n several apologies later we got our food at around 10 pm !! The food was fine to be fair n it wasn't the fault of the waiting staff. But someone wasn't doing their job right ! We got into the nightclub part of the evening after 11 pm. This was booked for 9 pm ! If they can't cope with a Saturday night they have a problem, was talking to others and they waited even longer than us and their evening was ruined. Lots of stag n hen parties in so very noisy , not for a quiet meal at all although this didn't bother us.

We had a large group booking here on sat night. Unfortunately table set for 5 less than booked, after being told we were wrong and booking was for less, we showed email confirmation and still no aplogy. It took over an hour to sort an appropiate table. When food arrived it was cold and soggy. Attitude from senior staff shocking, food poor, overall really dissapointing!
