This was booked for us as an anniversary gift. Not too impressed by waiting 5/10 mins to be acknowledge to begin with. The table was fine and we seemed to be the only diners in the restaurant for quite a while. The food was very good and a nice surprise but overall the service was very slow.
Best to go if you are staying in the hotel or have hours to spare.

Service was very good. Value with the offer was excellent. Starter was nothing special but the mains and puddings were lovely. Very happy with the overall experience.

The restaurant was quite difficult to find due to the building works in the area however it is a lovely building and a unique place to have lunch. Service was good and the quality of the food excellent. Only one criticism - the main meal of roast beef was not hot enough which was a shame because it was very flavoursome.

It was excellent. The menu was very good and the food was exceptional. Very good service and it was wonderful to see how the prison had been used to accommodate clients. Very good value. I would visit the brasserie at Malmaison again and certainly recommend it to my friends.

For £19.95 for three courses and a glass of Presecco, it was overall good value. However the meal itself was pretty average and lacking in imagination. The main course was small and served only on a bed of pea's and asparagus shoots, not soft spear ends. No potatoes, just the very overcooked trout. We enjoyed it because the staff were lovely and attentive. And it was edible, always a plus when you have a set menu. Next was the dessert. Too much oversized pavlova, very little fruit or cream content. Large glass of cold rhubarb and custard and a funny little milkshake in a bottle with a minuit straw, not useable, but was actually very nice, best thing on the dessert plate. My husband had cheese with was very good. The weather was also pleasant, however sitting outside was not an option no sunshades, pity. The property itself, great spot and very charming despite it's history as a prison. Would I visit again, perhaps!

It was a beautiful restuarant in a converted prison and the staff knew a lot about the history of the building. The staff were very polite and the food very well cooked and presented. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone.
