The service was great, really attentive
The salted caramel brownie was particularly gorgeous but the scone and lemon cake was very disappointing - it did not taste fresh, you could tell it had been there for a while as it had started to go hard!

The material the chairs were made of at our table was stained! So first impression was not good. First course of broth was excellent. Main course was just about warm and they had run out of our choice of sweet (pear tart tare) which again doesn't leave a good impression for a large restaurant!!

Good food ok although hake was bit bland and vegetarian option was dry although had requested sauce. Restaurant was very cold. Had to sit with coats on!

4 of us went on Friday, lovely bar for a pre dinner drink and seated at 8.15 in the busy restaurant. Staff very attentive, nice atmosphere and the food proved to be very good with no complaints. The only minus was the bar doesn't serve pint glasses so you are forever requesting 2 more beers which at £4 each was a tad expensive.

Happy hour is worth getting there early for....you save on the Prosecco!!!

I booked a table for a pre-theatre dinner so we were limited for time. The waiting staff were in a briefing when we arrived, so had to wait 30 minutes to be served a drink and our order taken, which was rather frustrating. However, when it arrived, the food was excellent and the service was good.
