Warm welcome. Limited choice on menu, but choices made were delicious especially our starters of 1) Fresh Burrata 2) Grilled masala spiced mackerel. We both had Gloucester old spot pork belly which was well cooked but the portion of peas was very small. Our choice of desserts were 1) Rhubarb trifle ( a little too set and very little rhubarb flavour) 2) Seasonal fromage slate ( a nice small selecion of cheese and biscuits). The glass of prosecco each was delicious. We did have quite a wait between ordering and then getting our starter. Staff were were very friendly and served us well.

Great welcome and very attentive staff, without being overbearing. Really lovely meal, every course excellent and a little different, would definitely visit again.

We dined on a Tuesday evening on a bookatable deal. Ambience is nice. Drinks were good if a little expensive. We both had starters and they were excellent. Mains were disappointing, I had Chicken Milanese which was just a chicken escalope, very boring. Desserts were nice. The biggest problem was the service, just sooo slow. There were plenty of staff and only a few tables but had to wait for everything from drinks to food to getting the bill. My wife ended up going to the bar to get another drink and we had to walk around to find someone to allow us to pay. Don't know what the staff were doing but they need to sort it out. We won't be returning.

Food good although some unusual combos. Liked the mackeral but lamb with bread a bit weird. Large portions, didnt like the taste of the custard in the trifle.
Service not good felt like we were in the way as special offer people. Perhaps needed another waiter.

Nice meal, very much enjoyed the starter (mackeral) and main course (trout), the pudding was very big so you don't leave hungry. Would go again if needed to meet and eat. Close to station. Interior looking a bit tired but clean and comfortable.

Had afternoon tea with champagne. Food was fabulous. Far too much to finish. Lovely wraps, cakes, smoothie and desserts. Choice of teas and coffees and even cocktails. Would definitely recommend. As a coeliac mine was made gluten free and was fresh tasty and looked just like the original. A great afternoon tea. Waiters and waitresses always polite and friendly making the whole event truely enjoyable.
