Malmaison Aberdeen boasts a dramatic open restaurant featuring plush banquette seating and brushed chrome, all illuminated by dim hanging spotlights and warm open candlelight. An open kitchen gives the unique opportunity to see Malmaison's talented chefs at work at the theatrical Josper grill.

The brasserie-inspired menu is famous for perfectly cooked steaks and superb mainstay classics, plus regularly introduced on-trend dishes and a seasonally changing prix fixe menu. The artfully crafted Malmaison menu utilises a range of fresh fish and seafood, superb seasonal vegetables and a wide variety of steaks, or take your pick from the local house specials in the kitchen's own meat display. Popular desserts include the Mal hot chocolate and crème brûlée. Vegetarian options are also available, with a selection of both starters and mains available on the a la carte menu and on the seasonal prix fixe.

Diners can also head to the trendy bar at the Malmaison restaurant. An accessible, hand-picked wine list, beers and nationally renowned 'Malchemy' cocktails offer plenty of choice.

This exclusive hotel sits 7 minutes’ drive from Union Square Shopping Centre.

Service was a bit slow as it as really busy. We had to wait a long time for our main course steaks and when they did arrive they had been cooked too much. We asked for medium rare and got medium.

We were a party of three yet were given a corner seat which was too small to sit three people, however a chair was offered which we accepted. The table was only dressed for two. The food was excellent but the service very slow, the table was not cleared and we sat talking amidst dirty played and glasses. We felt that as we had booked through 'book a table' website we were not important. I would only recommend this restaurant for the quality of the food which is excellent.

We had a lovely birthday meal and staff acknowledged my daughters birthday when we arrived and at desert. I would definitely go back food was fantastic !

Service was fantastic. Food was equally as good. I had the prime rib steak for my main and it was cooked to perfection. Adding in their own steak sauce completed the dish.

The server threw in free glasses of desert wine with our desert too which was a nice touch. Easily the best experience I've had in the many visits I've had here.

The only small negative would be the small menu wouldn't suit the fussier eater.

Staff were very attentive. My husband had the stonefish which was beautifully cooked I had the chickpea and lentil burger which was delicious. The New Zealand wine was chilled and crisp.

Food was average we felt rushed was surprised we were not offered any bread and that it was classed as an extra and I object to the fact there was already a surcharge added to my bill.

The prosecco was not chilled the starters were tasteless and the side orders (potatoes & salad) were horrible, service was good but we were only offered coffee as compensation for the food...I won't be rushing back
