Boasting some of the most coveted panoramic views in London from its roof terrace, Madison Restaurant has floor-to-ceiling windows that look out onto St Paul’s Cathedral. Housed on the top floor of One New Change, the Manhattan-style restaurant serves an amalgamation of British and Mediterranean flavours.
Aside from magnificently indulgent burgers including lobster with avocado mayonnaise and duck with foie gras, the Madison Restaurant menu features a hearty selection of salads, pots and dishes from the Josper grill.
Starters such as mackerel and tuna tartar with quails eggs and wasabi crème fraiche are not to be missed, nor are desserts like bitter chocolate and praline fondant. Unusual light bites such as goat’s cheese or gin popcorn can be enjoyed in the restaurant, bar or on the trendy rooftop terrace.
Renowned for its vibrant atmosphere, Madison Restaurant in London regularly hosts DJs and live music. The all-encompassing drinks menu is a highlight, especially the hot cocktails, as are the hand-blown glass chandeliers. St Pauls Tube Station is a 3-minute walk away.

The reservation was wrong but they managed to give us a table by the window with a complementary bottle of prosecco.

Busy restaurant unsurprising as it was a 2.00 pm reservation. The food preparation area was a bit of an eyesore with the utensils display functional rather than aesthetic.Welcome was unsmiling but functional. We were directed to our table and presented not with the appropriate menu but the al la carte menu. The value menu was as expectd and our choice of two courses were sufficient together with a quality glass of prosecco each. My first choice, the fried oxtail with a beetroot sauce was well presented but lacked taste. My wife's choice of the parma ham salad also good on the eyes but the ham was rather tough but tasty. My main course of the duck and foie gras burger was simply delicious. My wife consumed her lobster based fish pie with relish which was a good advertisement for the main courses. Only criticism was the fish pie could have been accompanied by a small salad (similar to that that accompanied my burger) but that apart most enjoyable. Waiting for the bill was a touch arduous and the waitress suggested removing the service charge from the bill in a quite abrupt manner but that apart an enjoyable experience.
