I have been to Letchworth Hall Hotel many times, growing up in the area we celebrated many family events here. This visit was for my Mums birthday and once again we were in for a treat. The restaurant was busy preparing when we arrived and it took a while for someone to appear at the bar to serve us drinks, but once sat at our table the service was fabulous. Our waitress Jacqueline was helpful, friendly and very accommodating, even packing a few petit fours into a bag with crackers and party hats for my children to take away. The food was superb, enormous starters and main courses, but delicious. The deserts equally tasty (especially the plum pudding). The set menu was great value at £20 for three courses, and a child's menu at £10. Once again we were made to feel welcome and special, the staff seemed to actually care that we had a nice time. This is a beautiful, historical building with real character and a relaxed atmosphere from days gone by. We love it!

A group of 7 (plus baby), had afternoon tea at the Letchworth Hall Hotel. There was a great selection of tea, sandwiches and cakes. The staff were really helpful bringing extra tea and sandwiches at no extra cost. The atmosphere was relaxed and it was a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. I would recommend Lytton's restaurant and plan to return for a meal there soon.

We have eaten here several times as a couple and with friends. On every occasion the food has been excellent, in taste and presentation, as is the service.
The older part of the building has real charm and the restaurant has a large airy conservatory on the side. Also there is a very large car park
    which is important to us.

[$] The food was NOT WORTH IT, in fact I would have refused to pay [$] for it. The starters were fancy (except the soup) but the rest was just standard pub grub. We wouldn't recommend this place.Long version:[...]As we arrived we waited at the restaurant desk for a few minutes whilst a lad (18ish) was sorting something out on the till, he then walked away and mumbled something to us.... We looked at each other and laughed...Got seated in the end no problems, waited a good 15 minutes before our order was taken, although others had been asked before us and they had arrived after us (not that big of an issue).Starter arrived and was lukewarm/cold (black pudding dish), soup was hot but nothing special.... Main course arrived (two roast beef), beef was good and tasty, roast potatoes had obviously been cooked earlier in the day and then deep fat fried to order, so cold inside and extremely over cooked on the outside, yorkshire pudding was massive but overcooked and burnt on the edges. Onions were burnt but tucked in underneath the beef/mash to presumably hide them. We request 'some new potatoes', we got new potatoes... haha an easy mistake to be fair. The new roast potatoes then came but unfortunatly were still extremely hard on the outside the same (albeit now hot & covered in hot fat/oil).The lady asked if all was ok with the food and I said well not really the potatoes were inedible, she said do you want me to replace them.... as she walked away with our plates.... hahaPuddings were good, chocolate fondant and chocolate cheesecake. Staff were friendly and helpful but they seemed over worked as we kept needing ask for more water etc We waited for about 10 minutes but no staff had come past us for us to ask for the bill, so we didn't bother waiting (as we had already handed over our voucher) so just left.

Well presented food with very good service. My only grumble is the price of soft drinks £4.40 for a pint of Pepsi is a bit "pricey".

We went as a family on a weekday afternoon with two children. The food was very nice with delicate sandwiches, fresh warm scones and some small fancy cakes. The dining area had only one other group there so it was very quiet. Very enjoyable but I am glad we had a two for one offer as it would have been expensive for what is was if paying full price.
