The menu had changed which was a little disappointing, more like pub grub options now. However when the food arrived it was of a high standard and presented beautifully.

I had the butternut squash soup, mushroom risotto for main and cheese board for dessert. My starter and main course were excellent, but cheese board was just ok. My dad and brother had the scotch egg for starter and fish pie for main and were both very good. The value here (at £12.50 for 3 courses) is outstanding!

I had such a good experience, the staff were lovely on Xmas eve, the food was excellent and the restaurant itself, beautiful. The mushroom risotto, sea bass and steak were particularly good, especially the chips and onion rings that came with the steak. the flourless chocolate cake needs some work.

Food was not good. Tagiatelli were stuck to each other like a lump, seafood cold, ambience was cold and lacking loving care

Slow service (had to literally give four empty glasses to the waitress as they hadn't been cleared). Had to ask for a wine menu, and then remind twice to actually get the bottle. (I think there were about six tables and two waiters, so not much excuse for slow service.)

Menu uninspired - but if you like steak or shellfish you're fine. Don't expect the variety given on the website.

Under seasoned food - pork belly was bland, couldn't taste the fennel it apparently came with. Pate was standard. "Horseradish creamed spinach" was literally wilted spinach swimming in single cream.

We had Afternoon tea. The staff (Tracy & Robyn) were lovely & courteous & saw to our every need. The food was good too.

Restaurant was fairly empty and lacking in atmosphere. Loud rock music was playing throughout the meal which was a bit off putting. Starter of goats cheese and the risotto for main were very nice. Dessert was a disappointment.

They didnt have the pork belly starter (which my partner had been looking forward to), they didn't have the wine we ordered but brought us one that was apparently comparable - it wasn't pleaseant. They actually forgot our wine and we had to remind them, weren't particularly attentive and then whacked on a 12.5% service charge.

Wouldnt go here again - had fond memories of it when it was the Inn on the Green when it was a real treat to dine there, not anymore.
