In one of the capital’s trendiest districts, London Cat Village serves afternoon tea surrounded by countless resident felines. For the ultimate homely touch, trade shoes for comfy slippers at the door, and settle in for monthly Detox & Meditation Nights on Wednesdays.

Serving up traditional teatime treats throughout the day, the London Cat Village menu includes elaborately decorated cakes, warming hot drinks and cooling iced coffees. Tempting desserts, served in delicate glassware, offer extra-level luxury.

Plush rainbow-coloured bean bags and split-tree-trunk tables are dotted through the dining room at London Cat Village, and springy artificial grass is felt underfoot.

A stress-busting experience that’s currently one of London’s most sought after, this cat café in Shoreditch is found just 5 minutes’ walk from Old Street Station. Please note that London Cat Village do not admit any child under 12.

We were welcomed very warmly, regardless of being a few minutes late for our slot. The interior design of London Cat Village is homey and appealing and, up and foremost, ideal for the feline residents. Drinks (hot chocolate and breakfast tea) were served promptly, tasted good and were served in the cutest cups. The service staff is was always friendly and ready to provide information. As the café was not fully booked for the next slot, we were even granted a few more minutes to stay with the cats before our departure.

We were extremely excited to come to the Cat Village for my birthday & while the staff were very friendly, the place was very clean & it was amazing to have the opportunity to dine amongst loads of adorable cats, there were a couple of points that honestly almost ruined the experience for me:

    1. A table for 4 consisted of 1 bench & a tiny table in the centre which only 2 out of 4 guests could reach. We were refused a chair & so my partner & sister had to sit on the floor just to reach their food - unacceptable I feel.
    2. (A small thing) They were out of the vegan savoury option - which is fine - however as a professional establishment in a city with a large vegan population, an alternative should have been offered. In fact, our seating was right after a cat nap & a member of staff could easily have popped to a shop during that time.
    3. Our food was only served 20mins before we had to leave - I was told by a member of staff that we had to be out in 10mins when I had only had 1-2 bites of my food.
    4. Staff got multiple items in our order wrong - our sandwiches had to be re-made & my latte was made with dairy milk when I had asked for soy.
    5. While I understand that overheads must be covered, I have worked in many food establishments & I feel that prices such as £4 for a cup of mint tea is very unfair considering that customers already pay a £5 'cat care' fee. If you need higher earnings, I would suggest making your 'cat care' fee higher as that would be more acceptable.
    6. As we were sitting at the door, I witnessed another customer who was not very mobile being forced to accept her seat downstairs or to leave. I would have been more than happy to give her my seat! It was dealt with poorly & it is not difficult to be a little more accommodating.

I really, really wanted to LOVE this establishment as I had been waiting for our visit for over a month, however unfortunately I left feeling ripped-off, uncared for & with indigestion from forcing my food down in 10mins.

Great food and lovely staff. The cats are so sweet!! Most of them were asleep (obviously, because they're cats) but the others were very inquisitive and even jumped up onto my lap :)
An awesome experience. I want a cat now!!

Very friendly staff and attentive. The apple, blueberry and pistachio cake is incredible and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone who visits. We also had the chocolate cake and the salmon & cream cheese terrine which were also fantastic.
