Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch, something for everyone. The fish and chips was huge cannot remember what the others had but they enjoyed.

Seated quickly and drinks arrived to table promptly. Food was ok but waiting service was poor. Long wait to place order and it wasn't overly busy. After iur group was finished we asked for the bill but after 20 mins and asking twice still no bill. We proceeded to pay at the bar who advised that they would prefer we pay the waitress at which point we politely pointed out that we had been trying to do that. Poor customer service so it's now off our list of places to go. Better dining experiences elsewhere in town.

    Great layout and surrondings,easy access.
    Excellent online booking.
Unfortunately service is slower than a week in jail!
We needed to go and seek out staff between every course even though the restaurant seemed quietish?
They were pleasant and very friendly however and apologetic.
Plates are big and portions getting smaller compared to when it opened last year! We had to remind staff that some of vegetables were missing which they then brought from the kitchen, again pleasant and apologetic.
Not a brilliant experience taking over 3 hours for 3 courses!
Beer and wine excellent and if other things were brought back to the standard last year it would be very good value for money but as it is a recurring problem when my family and I visit Lock yards unfortunately we won't be returning. Sorry.

The service was excellent and staff very helpfula nd pleasant. The food was good and very tasty, and yhe kids enjoyed the play area although a little small for the number of children in the restaurant. Overall enjoyed the meal and atmosphere.

Nicely presented plate of food, we went for the festive menu but were disappointed that there was no gravy, only bread sauce!!! You would expect gravy on a Christmas Dinner as the norm. We asked for some and waited while our food went cold and was presented with a tiny jug between four of us. No cranberry sauce was offered either...
Then the Christmas pudding came with custard as they had no brandy sauce, we asked if we could have a brandy from behind the bar but were told by the waitress they didn't have any left behind the bar. We checked on our way out and there was brandy behind the bar...
A shame as the food we had was very tasty... Back again on Wednesday for our works do, so hopefully it will be better!!!
