A stylish bistro in the heart of the town, Loch & Quay Christchurch is committed to local produce. The menu of sharing platters, fresh fish favourites and hearty grill dishes is served in the restaurant’s bright, laidback dining area.

By day, the Loch & Quay menu offers classic brunch dishes, wraps and sharing boards, alongside the likes of goats’ cheese and beetroot tart and beer-battered fish and chips. Come the evening, discover venison steak with rosemary dauphinoise, grilled lemon thyme salmon with seafood risotto and sweet chilli dressing, or slow-braised lamb shanks served with minted mashed potatoes, chickpeas and yoghurt cucumber dip. From the grill, try the homemade beef burger in a brioche bun, or the lemon and herb-marinated rump steak with hand-cut triple-cooked chips and garlic-roasted flat mushrooms topped with parmesan.

Desserts at Loch & Quay restaurant are also packed with flavour. Try the enticing chocolate brownie with pistachio crumb and vanilla ice cream, or the vanilla, pear and star anise tatin with toffee sauce.

    So easy, tabled booked, arrived to tentative staff and food was fantastic.

    Food was very enjoyable. Being winter it was a bit cold inside the restaurant. Price was very acceptable. Menu could be a bit more extensive for some diners, esp no starters on the lunch menu.

    Amazing food, couldn't fault it at all. Excellent service. Live musician very nice touch, and who was very talented. Would definitely go back and no hesitation in recommending this restaurant. Considering they were very busy with Christmas bookings, it did not negatively impact on the food or service.

    Wonderful Sunday lunch, Lobster for 2 People and lovely roast beef for the other. Staff very helpful and meal was presented very well.

    The service was excellent. I only had a main course which was a ribeye steak. I had the chef's secret sauce and I was really disappointed to be honest. It was watery and certainly not special. I am a bit of a 'chef' so I am very much into my food. The steak was cooked well although not seasoned enough but the sauce was the problem. I would have chosen a flavoured butter if that had been offered. Maybe a bearnaise butter or even a garlic one. The salad was wonderful, fresh and really tasty and the salad dressing was lovely.

    I have saying negative things about places and I am only saying the above because I received the email.

    I loved the restaurant and whole experience otherwise.
