In a stunning 2-floor restaurant, Loch Fyne Winchester serves a superbly varied menu of fresh seafood, blended with both traditional and contemporary ingredients. Its historic building dates back to 1509, and features beautifully rustic décor.

Specialising in fresh oysters and shellfish, Loch Fyne restaurants present an abundance of delicious fish and seafood dishes. Favourites include the hot and cold shellfish platters, along with the Loch Fyne moules marinières, or seasonal specials like dressed Cromer crab and pan fried fillet of sea bass with artichoke. Loch Fyne has a vibrant kids menu, and there are succulent, grilled meat dishes for the carnivores.

An elegant wine list beautifully complements the fish and shellfish favourites. All of the seafood at Loch Fyne restaurant is sustainably sourced, either from abundant wild stocks or responsible farming.

Loch Fyne Winchester offers both al fresco and private dining areas, allowing different ways to experience both its cuisine and beautiful historic building.

A lovely valentines menu - starter and main course were perfect. A lengthy wait for desert and when it arrived it was a complete let down. Pear tart with salted caramel and ice cream. The tart was huge and no salted caramel. Beer selection limited for draught drinkers.

The Head Waiter - an exceptionally friendly and interesting Turk - was the main enjoyment of the evening.
I had mussels to start and they seemed a combination of pre-cooked and shrivelled and newly cooked, slightly undercooked (but that is more preferable) in a good sauce. The crab and lobster burger was goodish, but I would not order again. The rest was a little blah.
    Very lovely old building

First visit. Courteous and attentive staff, for whom nothing was too much trouble. Wide choice of food - which was excellent! Pleasant ambience.

Very very poor service...new menu a disaster..everything over spiced. green salad poor...just lettuce. Waited for the bill, while waitress was talking. Ceviche only good item
    Won't reccomend or return

Good and helpful service with a variety of fish dishes: grilled lobster and salmon terryaki were very good although side dish of Japanese brown rice, described as with spring onions, came with a mass of coriander which was not in the description and not liked (15% British consumers don't like it). Puddings good with a fair choice. Rather noisy environment, but still possible to have a normal conversation.

Lovely food and good service. If you love puddings we would recommend the tasting Achet ( I think that's what they called it) I expected a taste of 4 pudds, but the portions were more like 4 whole pudds! Definitely one for sharing with at least one other person!
