Nice food, but yet again I had issues with tipping (had a similar issue about 3 years ago). Our bill was £157 for the 4 of us. I was paying by card and the other couple by cash. I said to the waiter we'd pay £85 each (£170 total), one by card and the other cash, but stated the other couple had £90 so would require £5 back. I handed my card, the waiter entered 85 then handed me the card machine which was on the gratuity screen and he said to me 'would you like to leave a tip'. I had to tell him that the tip is part of the £85 he's entered. Then I handed him the £90 from the other couple and said again that they would require their change. The waiter walked away saying 'thank you sir, thank you'. My friend and I looked at each other commenting that he wouldn't bring the change back...and he didn't. We didn't ask for it as it was only £5 but did leave me feeling embarrassed that my friend had paid more and I also felt responsible given I was sorting out the bill. I would come again as I enjoy the food - I think the menu is great, especially as I love seafood. Its just a shame about the service.

Excellent restaurant. Particularly good as we were going to a memorial service at the Catholic church, so fish on a Friday was perfect. Good value lunch menu which we had. We arrived 15 mins early as it was a bitterly cold day, but the waiter made us most welcome.

A lovely valentines menu - starter and main course were perfect. A lengthy wait for desert and when it arrived it was a complete let down. Pear tart with salted caramel and ice cream. The tart was huge and no salted caramel. Beer selection limited for draught drinkers.

The Head Waiter - an exceptionally friendly and interesting Turk - was the main enjoyment of the evening.
I had mussels to start and they seemed a combination of pre-cooked and shrivelled and newly cooked, slightly undercooked (but that is more preferable) in a good sauce. The crab and lobster burger was goodish, but I would not order again. The rest was a little blah.
    Very lovely old building

First visit. Courteous and attentive staff, for whom nothing was too much trouble. Wide choice of food - which was excellent! Pleasant ambience.
