My Wife and I have dined at the Loch Fyne on a number occasions and have always found the staff to be extremely helpful and friendly with the food cooked to perfection and of a high standard. So we knew that we wouldn't be disappointed when we visited again to celebrate my mothers 80th Birthday, my mother had a wonderful time thanks to everyone at Loch Fyne.

Good food with excellent range of choice. Very pleasant and relaxed surroundings.

My husband had mussels and sea food pasta, which was delicious. My starter was smoked haddock scotch egg which was nice, but I chose fish pie for my main course. This was terrible - overcooked mush with no fish in it at all. The staff did their best to rectify this and I can't fault the service, but for a 'fish' restaurant I found this particularly disappointing. I was expecting a good selection of fish, perhaps some prawns and a nice sauce.

Amazing food! My mussels were beautiful as always, very generous portion size too. I also had an exceptional creme brûlée. My partner loved his crab pakora starter, very tasty tagliatelle too. We were treated to a free glass of champagne each as it was my partner's 40th birthday. I will definitely go again, superb!

Lovely food, service a little slow despite there being only four or five tables in use.

I love fish and this restaurant did not disappoint. The menu was varied and all in my party enjoyed what they ordered. I had mussels to start in creamy white wine. They were great. Then the swordfish which again was good and bramley and rhubarb walnut crumble and custard. There was not enough custard but staff happily brought more and it tasted great. I was not a fan of the chunks of walnut in the dish but they were easy to remove. We had two children with us 6 and 4. They had their own menu and had mussels to start, bream and then sticky toffee pudding all was gobbled up. Staff were very friendly and the admosphere was great. A good restaurant in a lovely location in the heart of Shrewsbury''s historic town centre.
