We have previously dined at the St Albans branch which was outstanding...food and service. Unfortunately although the service was great, the food for me was awful. I ordered Lobster which was covered in this green gunge, I asked what this was and was told it was the brain!! I tasted the part with no green stuff on before I was told and it was not right. The waiter took this away and apologised, I then ordered a burger in place, and although there was nothing wrong with it, it was not nice.
The manager came and apologised and deducted the lobster and burger from the bill, which was fine, but I would have much preferred a decent meal.
I could not fault the staff, but I would never return as I would be hesitant to trust the food.

We visited with two close friends who ordered the fish and chips. My husband had the salmon teriyaki and I had smoked Haddock and mash. We both enjoyed our dishes but our friends thought the fish and chips were very disappointing. The tempura batter was soggy and both left a large portion of their meal. There was a poor choice of fish dishes for a fish restaurant. The atmosphere was ok but the restaurant is a large space and it was very quiet with only three or four tables occupied. The service was attentive though and the waitress was knowledgeable about the various dishes on the menu.
We would not hurry back to this Loch Fyne. Overall quite disappointing.

This was our first visit to the Henley Loch Fyne. We were very impressed with the decor and cleanliness. The staff were very efficient and attentive. Food was excellent, although there was no treacle tart.

food interesting and well presented but just above average for quality
    service good and friendly
ambiance like a schooll dining room

Food very good. However, service could have been a lot better. Starter arrived with the main course and the side of chips did not arrive at all. On previous occasions, the service has been good.
