Loch Fyne Gosforth is housed in a stunning converted church building, with large, ornate windows that let the natural light flood in. There’s an open kitchen and fresh seafood counter, as well as an outdoor dining area.

Specialising in fresh oysters and shellfish, Loch Fyne restaurants present an abundance of delicious fish and seafood dishes. Favourites include the hot and cold shellfish platters, along with the Loch Fyne moules marinières, or seasonal specials like dressed Cromer crab and pan fried fillet of sea bass with artichoke. Loch Fyne has a vibrant kids menu, and there are succulent, grilled meat dishes for the carnivores.

An elegant wine list beautifully complements the fish and shellfish favourites. All of the seafood at Loch Fyne restaurant is sustainably sourced, either from abundant wild stocks or responsible farming.

Lovely restaurant full of character as it used to be a church. Centrally located in Gosforth. Staff very attentive although did have to wait longer than we thought for main. If you are downstairs you can see the food being prepared, always a good sign. The only downside for us is the place is always cold. We have never had a warm seat yet. It would put us off going again especially in the winter.

Resaurant was very drafty and cold. Food was cold when served which we sent back. . My friend had a fish pie which was very dry and had a few peices of fish! It was mainly potatoe!

Dining was good as always with the amazing fresh oysters and some exciting new dishes on the menu (Portuguese stew) for example

Loch Fyne is in a very beautiful converted chapel which, although it was cold on first arrival, was quickly made comfortable by a heater from the helpful and friendly staff. The ffood was delicious, particularly the stunning halibut with a roast chilli sauce and the incredible deconstructed banana split - only a couple of microscopic crumbs remained ! A definite favourite with us.
