Generally, food quality and choice very good, and not too expensive

A bit disappointing overall. I felt it was very expensive for what we had - including over £9 for a double gin and tonic! I had fish and chips which I thought would be excellent as its a fish restaurant and it was not good at all. Very grey and unappetising looking, and really just tasted of what is what cooked in. Although they did take 10% off the bill, I was still disappointed by the quality of the food.

    It was all very pleasant.
All our party had fish. It was beautifully cooked and presented.
The staff were first class. Accommodating all our requests.

Love this restaurant, the food is always delicious and the atmosphere is very relaxed. Soon John Lewis is opening next door and I guess this restaurant will be more popular.

Very good. Service good. Somewhat overpriced compared to other chain restaurants. Portions not large but food good

I was disappointed. Having eaten well at Loch Fyne in the past and be served by very friendly staff, my visit yesterday was not up to standard. When I arrived I stood for a long time at the bar, while a young man worked on the computer without acknowledging my presence or looking up from the work he was doing. Eventually I walked across the restaurant and found someone else who was more helpful and came behind the bar to get me my drink. Then my guest and I sat down at our table at 7.30. It was after 8.00 when someone came to take our order and 8.35 when the first course arrived. The food itself was disappointing: I had a seafood platter which had all the bits on it, but many of them were curiously tasteless. However the New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc was good. I should not want to go to Loch Fyne again unless it improves. Stephen Rose.
