Took my girlfriend on her birthday. Everything was good until the main dish was served, her was served warm ( on the colder side) they took the dish away and made another. But! We came to eat together and did not take my dish away and start again, they were happy for us to suffer. The bill came and no apology!!!!

Had lunch with friends, very pleasant, lovely food, best fish and chips ever! Used 40% off voucher which was good value. Only criticism is that we were not greeted with a smile when we entered the restaurant, more of a grunt and a point towards our table!

Nice laid out restaurant although first seats offered were close to door and felt a cold draft every time it opened. I asked to seat elsewhere and the very attentive and friendly waiter immediately agreed to us moving. This was much appreciated particularly as I had a cold anyway and we both felt far more relaxed and warmer ,!

Very poor, Oysters arrived same time as hot starter. Food just dumped down. Tough squid in main.

When making my reservation I specifically requested a birthday cake, with candles and music as it was my wife's birthday. I had to ask our waiter what had happened to it after our meal while my wife was getting ready to leave.... it had been totally ignored. I then had to make an excuse to my wife as to why we couldn't leave and we then waited for the staff to arrange something; a cheesecake finally arrived with a candle in and happy birthday poorly written on the plate. This is not what I had expected for her birthday and she wasn't particularly over joyed by having 2 waiters stood singing and looking embarrassed. I should have been informed at the time of booking if my simple request couldn't be met. Your trip advisor reviews were very good and prompted me to book a table at your Bath restaurant..... I left deflated by the experience.
I await to hear from you.

Wonderful service, your hunk of a manager kindly moved my family to a beautiful, light window table from one slightly dark and in a draft for my grandparents comfort, on a busy Saturday afternoon. The food was gorgeous, staff even more gorgeous and it's comforting to know there are managers who know how to open a bottle of champagne (a rarity, believe me). Thank you for a wonderful time, we'll be back soon.
