Afternoon tea was great. The waitress serving us was very friendly and attentive. The views from the building were great.

We travelled 2hrs to Bournemouth yesterday for an early Mothers day treat for my Mum - who has recently lost her husband and my Dad, and has been slightly under the weather - who needed something nice to cheer her up! An afternoon tea in lovely surroundings seemed the perfect treat.

We arrived a little early 3.10. our booking was 3.30, we opted to sit at a smaller table as my mum would find the high table a little uncomfortable, we were very impressed with the whole Level8ight sky bar it looks great. We waited over 10 minutes for someone to even ask us if we would like a drink, three different waitresses then arrived at different times...one with a pot of tea, then another one with a jug of milk....then another one to ask my mum a second time if she wanted a flat white when she had clearly asked twice for an Americano!

Whilst i am fully aware it was a busy afternoon as afternoon tea is obviously popular, but people that arrived after us were being served their afternoon tea, ours was not. we waited until 4pm, then decided we would not bother and i told a waitress we would be leaving she apologised..offered no alternative and said it was human error!

I am really dissapointed..as i had made this booking a month ago and the afternoon tea did look delicious. If we had just walked in on the off chance i would have understood.

Beautiful venue but i was left a little disappointed with the afternoon tea. Cheap white bread sandwiches with low quality ham. Uninspiring sponge based desserts. However very nice scones and attentive waitress. This was a special 60th birthday treat for my dad.

Very helpful staff and good quality and quantity of food.
The restaurant was busy but the service was good. Felt as though we were treated with respect and very fairly.

Plush interior with impressive views over Bournemouth, friendly helpful staff and good food and drink. The afternoon tea was a fantastic birthday treat, ordered online with a discount and definitely worth the money in my opinion. I had both tea and coffee with mine at no extra cost and I was told "anything you want more of, just ask". Unfortunately the tea (though nice) did go cold quite quickly (they need little tea cosies), however the coffee was amazing. We did ask for more and it arrived quickly. The scones were lovely and warm, the coffee was piping hot and a good choice of cakes. My only criticism would be the lack of imagination with the finger sandwich fillings. The ham and mustard mayo was nice as was the salmon, however, cucumber on its own in a sandwich just doesn't cut it really. Definitely will be returning though. As an added bonus, we didn't finish the whole tray of cakes and asked them if they could box them up for us. They did, and was a nice surprise when we got home to find an extra couple of macaroons in the box!

The views on a nice day are amazing and there are plenty of outside seating. However, the service is very slow and the staff although they try their best they really look as though they dont want to be there.

I booked afternoon tea as a Valentine surprise for my husband.
We had coffee which was lovely unfortunately the offered refills took a very long time to come; I asked three times before the refill was served.
We both enjoyed the selection, I particularly liked the chocolate slice and strawberry trifle, delicious!
My husband prefers savoury and would have enjoyed more sandwiches or other things such as mini quiche, tarts, cheese straws.
Overall it was an enjoyable experience.
